If Hisoka were anyone I’d say it would be Illumi. But I think the whole Hisoka killed Illumi is wrong. Firstly, Illumi can use his pins to change the features on him as well as others so he more than likely did that for Hisoka. I mean it’s not the best friendship but Hisoka and Illumi are considered friends in a sense or at the very least close associates. I think Hisoka does want to fight Illumi eventually but I think he wants to wait before he fights him. ❤said that because it was shown or insinuated that Hisoka and Illumi were almost equals and I don’t think he would try him right before he tries the Troupe. Especially after how bad he was beaten by Chrollo already! But honestly, Hisoka is probably hiding somewhere on the whale.
If Hisoka hired the Zoldycks to eliminate the Phantom Troupe, this state of affairs makes sense, however... There are way too many pointers for Illumi being Hisoka from both their bodies being very similar, the different speech & body language patterns, the outfit change, the shower request, both Machi and Kalluto glaring at him, the chapter poster with Illumi being in the middle and only one holding a flower etc. - The other candidates are plausable but nowhere near as much as Illumi being Hisoka. On wheather Illumi is still alive or not, it depends on what Hisoka wants and it would be amusing if he did Kill Illumi in order for the Zoldyck family to target him and make the most of his battle cravings.
Very good theory. The idea of killing Illumi in order to be targeted by the Zoldyck family is very interesting. But first priority would be to defeat the Phantom Troupe members, so maybe he is cooperating with Illumi for now and the battle with Illumi will come later.
