Thanks for your nice videos! And also your travel videos! How much did you lower your bike? Did you modify the side stand? Are you pleased with the change as the suspension travel is reduced?
Glad I found this channel, I'll follow along. I'm considering a 450l and have dreams of doing the TAT. I spent all last winter prepping and researching and was very close to doing it this summer on my KLR but couldn't make it happen due to the virus. So I know what it's like being bitten by the TAT bug and the desire hasn't left me at all. Anyways, the oil change interval on this bike is one thing and it can be dealt with, but will a 3 gallon IMS cut it for the TAT? What are your plans for when you need the extra range? Extra bottles, a rotopax or maybe a bladder? From everything I have read, aftermarket exhaust and the vortex makes the 450 suck a lot of gas. The 5 gallon tank nomad makes doesn't seem to be a good design and it is $$$$, which is a shame. Wish IMS would make a 4 gallon tank. Your thoughts on this would be appreciated. Also looking forward to see how you're going to be packing the gear. Thanks!
Nice video of your mods. What did you use to trim the frame guards? I bought a set form my 2022 CRF450RL and I'm a little worried that they will crack when I go to trim them. Thanks!
great video! Bought a 2019 crf 450 l myself and I have one question? How do you remove the (I think its a) lambda probe at the exhaust? Cause all the aftermarket exhausts dont have them on it? Do you have to do anything special or can you just remove it?
I have a 2021 450 RL only has 1000 miles on it and I think I have a bad starter the main terminal post is ringing to ground does anybody else have that issue
Are the Zeta wrap arounds mounted to the stock bars ? I have them on my 300 Rally but I had to switch bars. The stock 300 bars have weights in the ends that you can’t remove. Actually like the Pro Taper oversized much better than the steel Honda oem ones.
My 450 should be here any day, and I can't wait! I got the IMS tank and replacement tires just off the bat. I think the exhaust and vortex will come at some point, but great video! Enjoying the channel.
@@BillyTyo Thanks for the reply! It makes sense to go with a brand you can trust especially for the long journey you have planned! Good luck to both of you and have fun. ✌️
@@BillyTyo No I’m still on the stock and probably have been running them too low on tails with fortunately no problems. Planning on switching before the spring sometime.
@@BillyTyo we are hauling bikes from Ky to Trinidad Co and are gonna do the “western loop”. Not near the mileage you and Jake did but looking forward to it!
@@jamesbramblett3346 That is a great idea, if I were to do the TAT again, that's probably what I would do. It was nice to do the whole thing, but it really gets interesting once you hit New Mexico and Colorado.
