World War I is a world war that took place from July 28, 1914 to November 11, 1918.
The reason can be traced back to the mid-sixteenth century, when European countries began to form capitalism. In search of resources and profits, they sought to expand their territories, invade them, and turn Asian and African countries into their colonies. By the end of the nineteenth century, due to the uneven economic and political development of capitalism, it had profoundly changed the force relations among the imperialist states. Besides the old empires like British France with a vast colonial system, the young epire American and German, Japan was growing strongly economically, but had too few colonies. The conflict between the imperialists over the colonial issue became increasingly fierce.
In the early twentieth century, the German Empire overtook Britain and France to become the leading industrial power in Europe and second in the world after America. But in the race for colonization, Germany was a slow country. Because its colonial size was not commensurate with its industrial potential, few colonies meant few resources and consumption markets, Germany was the most hostile country of the period.
