So you've heard the nightmare stories. Pearson Airport is in a state of constant chaos, Air Canada is cancelling flights left, right, and centre, and yes, they still serve cold plastic packaged bread rolls with their Economy dinner meals. But with all the horrible stories of nights stranded in the airport and bags getting lost, I still figured I should go check it out for myself. On this trip I'm headed into the eye of the storm, Toronto's Pearson International Airport, with a 3 hour connection as I travel from Montreal to Barcelona.
Let's see what the travel day for that long-awaited summer Europe trip really looks like in summer 2022 and get the full experience onboard Air Canada's Airbus A330-300 in Economy Class, with the newly refurbished "Dream Cabin".

Love this! I went on this new A330 cabin last year from Montreal to Vancouver and I was very impressed! I think this is the second best cabin in the AC fleet after the A220!

Amazing video. Frankly, this is very similar to my trip in terms of aircraft, gates etc and it's actually pretty scary lmao. Your trip was on July 8th, mine was on July 10th. Secondly, I actually first flew to montreal on AC410 on the EXACT same gate (D20, if im not mistaking) as well as the exact same aircraft. Only difference is opposite route, I was connecting in YUL while you were in YYZ. Next, I flew transatlantic with an A330-300 aswell but only this time to Zurich haha. This was an amazing video to be honest. Keep up the good work.

thank you for this video! we are flying on this type of plane from Toronto to Orlando in January, it's my first time flying in over 10 years and my first time flying as a parent of young kids, knowing what to expect has really helped my anxiety

Be thankful for your food that was what they have for dinner I like the food served on planes. It is not a big deal.

It's too bad AC no longer flies the A340. I was on a LH 340 back in 2012 and I was surprised at how quiet it was at cruise alt, for a quad engine. And comfy seats too, 2-4-2. But I agree with other posters here -- AC's A333 with the newer cabin refurb, is their best long range plane for comfort. 787 comes next, but Boeing's 3-3-3 layout just puts me off, as I am a window sitter on long flights. I hope Airbus comes out with an extended range version of their A220. As in transatlantic-capable! Zowee. Keep up the great videos.

Which economy Air Canada you prefer 787, a330 or 777-300? Do you really notice less jet lag in 787? My fav Air Canada plane used to be their a340, was so roomy and comfortable..though that was a different time... Thanks for sharing!
@WillAviation
@WillAviation Месяц назад
I quite like the A330 because of the 2-4-2 config (i.e. no middle seats on the sides). Plus it’s a newer cabin with bigger entertainment screens. The 777 and 787 cabins are quite similar, I’ve never noticed the jet lag difference but I’ve heard the same thing

Hi! I’ll fly with Air Canada in the A330 in a month and I’m looking to buy a window seat. Is your seat 39K worth to buy? Is there a nice view there? Or do you recommend another seat? (I fly in economy). Thanks!
@WillAviation
@WillAviation Год назад
39K was a good seat, but you might want to purchase something closer to the front if available. I find anything after row 34 to have good views (as the wing doesn’t block). Hope that helps!

I really enjoy your reviews of AC's fleet and seatings. I'm thinking of doing a prem econ to VIE from YYZ this Sept 2023. The fare diff with std economy pref seats is huge, > $1K. In your opinion, is PE worth the extra coin? That's 17 hrs total roundtrip air time. No upgrades for me - straight cash sale. Thanks.
@WillAviation
@WillAviation Год назад
That’s a big cost difference, not sure I could justify it myself. PE is nice for the space and the moderately improved service, but otherwise not much difference. Also factor in the extra baggage allowance if that makes a difference for your travels. If you are hesitant, perhaps buy PE on the overnight leg? I’m sure you’ll appreciate the extra room when trying to sleep
@canadianmaestro7228
@canadianmaestro7228 Год назад
@@WillAviation Yes I looked at doing a hybrid fare, PE overnight, Standard Eco on return. Still around 700 more than straight econ. So, I got a pref seat in Econ for overnight, window. Good fare too. I'm not overly tall, so legroom's not an issue, and my earplugs/raybans allow some sleep. Thanks.
