Great Video kids!! We took a cruise several years ago and stayed in Fairbanks for a week afterward. Did Denali, Helo'ed to a glacier for dog sled rides, float plane to see the Bears, etc.. Yes, we blew the budget but saw & did things we never thought we could do. We are picking up our AF1140 (after additions are done) in about a month and can"t wait! Alaska is on the bucket list. Be safe & keep the videos coming!

Oh wow!! We are so excited for y’all! That’s an awesome rig! We were just in LaGrande OR at Northwood watching those being built and they are looking great!! We passed on the helo ride: Wally was once in one during his USCG career and as soon as he got out, it crashed so he’s not real eager to get back in one! Thanks for your comment and encouragement! I’ll try to do better about putting videos out. Take care!!

We’ve lived in Alaska for 50 years on the Kenai Peninsula. We go south in the winter to explore the lower 48. Kind of the opposite direction 😂

Hey Glynn! You sure are lucky to live in such a beautiful spot! We absolutely loved our time spent on the Kenai Peninsula! I can’t imagine the changes you have seen in 50 years!! Would love to have that conversation! And, don’t blame you one bit for heading south to the lower 48 during the winter! We were looking at temps in Fairbanks this week and it was much too chilly for me! Thanks so much for your comment and your support! Take care!

Hey Robert! Absolutely no issues with the AF or the truck. Both performed flawlessly! All of those gravel, rock, dirt roads and not even a chip in the windshield! I should have talked about that! Thanks so much for your question!!

A-maze-ing! Thanks for all of the useful information. I learn something from each video I watch on the area. We are going by cruise ship next year and truck camper when we retire a few years after that. Beautiful photos and memories for you. Did you get a chance to walk on Root glacier? -western NY Troy & Aimee

Hey there, Troy & Aimee!! Haha! You found the one other place we did not go! This was actually a point of contention for us: I wanted to go to Kennicott and Wally did not. He won!😂 so, no, we did not get to walk in Root Glacier. To be fair, we saw several postings of overturned rigs on that road so that helped curb my enthusiasm!😬 I imagine the cruise will be fabulous! What little bit I saw of the Inside Passage is beyond beautiful! A few of the towns you will pull into have, in my opinion, become a little less authentic. For instance, Skagway is beautiful but has a million (exaggerating!) jewelry stores! Juneau is very similar. While we were in Valdez, we learned that one is the major cruise lines (not sure which one) was no longer stopping there and that’s a shame because we really liked Valdez. We loved Homer and Haines! Enjoy your cruise and devote as much time as you possibly can to your truck camper trip!! If you have any questions about places or things to do, please feel free to ask! Take care!!

It's on our bucket list in the next couple years. Sounds like another happy camper story that we want to be apart of too. Are you heading.. are you back in USA? Heading south for the winter? We're in Thailand for the next 5 weeks, then back to the freezing CO Rockys for the winter. Safe Travels.

Hey Brian! Definitely an excellent bucket list item! We are currently back in the US and have been traveling through WA, OR and CA. We will be south for the winter and spending January in Belize again. We love it there. Would love to go to Thailand but not so sure I could get Wally on a plane for that long! Enjoy your time there! Thanks for your comment and take care!!

It was only 32 hours of travel.. 😳. Come on Wally! 😅. We have a 35 acre farm in Sakon Nakhon, Thailand. Juju family have been in our area for 5 generations so 80% of our village is family. It’s great here and the beaches are the best “I’ve” seen in the world. Safe travels that west coast has huge waves right now. Get some photos.

Thinking about truck camper but wondering if I should pack a kayak and where or inflatable dinghy with the motor on the hitch carrier
@FoxPartyOf3
@FoxPartyOf3 10 месяцев назад
We have an inflatable 2 person kayak and an inflatable SUP paddle board/kayak and we find each of them to be useful and fun. I can’t think of anywhere we have been where we felt like we needed a motor and actually a lot of places don’t allow them or you have to worry about thorough cleanings due to invasive aquatic species. We like to keep things as simple as we can. Just something to consider. Hope this helps! Take care!
