I came here hoping you'd rave for a while about Haikyuu and I was not disappointed. I'm so so glad you love the series so much!! I'd highly recommend you also try watching Run With The Wind! It's, surprise surprise, a running anime about college boys but it gave me a lot of similar Haikyuu feels (the production company and composer are actually the same too)
i dont know but getting to be immortal and not being plagued by flashback of embarrassing shit ive done because everyone 100% forgets for sure about it sounds like a pretty sweet deal (I've been rewatching Haikyuu for the last week and yeah good shit, I'm still very daunted by the manga :'D. The fact also that it DOESNT need (canon) romances because, for the readers/watchers, the relationships are plenty emotionally fulfilling as they are speaks VOLUMES)
Always love seeing your face pop up in my subscription box (wow that sounds weird XD). I love your fascination with Haikyuu, I'm so happy a bunch of people are getting into it (one of my friends finally watched the anime!). Kat, please tell me your haikyuu ships! I'm so curious (I also would accept haikyuu fanfic recommendations)! Basically these last years most of my reading has been fan fictions. The writing isn't always great but man do I love it. Its surprising how much the quality varies in different fandoms, like Harry Potter fanfic is so hard for me to read cuz either the writings is…not great or its just such weird/creepy ships but then I go to a different fandom and read like a bunch of 100-200k novels that are so heartwarming and so well written. The internet man it's got layers XD
Maybe you could do some fan fiction reviews/recommendations for the anime?! I love fan fiction too (I read it almost everyday but I also feel like I’m not ACTUALLY reading, like I’m not an avid reader if I’m not reading published books lol) so it would be cool to see a RU-vidr talking about it more :D
Getting sucked into fanfics is basically my life. At the beginning of last year I think I tried to track how many words of fanfics I was reading and then divide them by average Length of books to see how much I read. It went up real fast let me tell you in the week I did it we were In the hundreds of thousands
yay, its always a good time when you upload a new video!!!!!! glad to see that you're enjoying yourself with things that you love!!! i hope that you're doing well overall, missed you a lot!!!
I am so with you on the whole fan fic thing...lol. I started reading it for the first time in March and now six months later and I’ve read over 200....some of which are like over 1,000 pages long...lol
Opposite of Always makes me think of a music video by a kpop guy group that I love. the music video is called Severely and it is basically his gf dies and he is in the church mourning her and he gets up to leave and he bumps into her. she has no recollection of him at all either
If you need another obsession try the C-drama The Untamed!! Theres 50 episodes on netflix and im in my 3rd watch of the show while devouring all the fanfiction on the entire interwebs 😂 also reading the original translated novel!! Literally all ive accomplished the entire summer lol
No more white balance issues I see :) and speaking of manga a friend of mine has got me started reading this one called Classroom Chat Group on the app NovelFull it’s a whopping 1300 chapters apparently it’s like the whole series or whichever but I’m still not much of an e book reader so that’s almost too much lol 😂
Books? I don't know her! I haven't read anything all the way through since March! (And House on Mango Street that I had to read for my English course). 2020 has just not been a good reading year for me because of Current Events, and also being overwhelmed by all the books and comics and not being able/being too afraid to start reading anything. Also, why didn't you show pics of this anime/manga series you've experienced and which fanfics did you read?
Who are your fave characters in Haikyuu? And yeah, Haikyuu fanfic is on another level. Before MHA it used to have the most entries on AO3 lol And if you want more, there is a side series I think called School Days that focuses on the other teams in high school and just them as students.
I've missed you! I've been waiting for a new video (literally rewatched every video waiting for one of the booktube queens to post) Also your writing have really been helping me in keeping me going in writing my stories/books!
okay wtf because I literally started watching Haikyu!! this week and it's years old now, so when you started talking about it in this video I was a little spooked. I even had the same hesitancy as you due to not liking sports anime. It's soooo good! :))
I was almost IN TEARS listening to you talking about haikyuu BECAUSE SAME. FUCKING SAME, this summer (the last haikyuu summer ;___; So sad that ended BUT SUCH A GOOD ENDING) was also my haikyuu summer! And I LOVE ALL OF THEM I LOVE THIS MANGA SO MUCH, please PLEASE READ SLAM DUNK I don't know if you have read it but, PLEASE XDDDDDDD
Me wanting to recommend fanfic to people, but also not wanting them to fall down the whole of never having enough fanfic and never picking up a novel again. Side note I read a fanfic longer than the Bible and I’m really proud of that fact. 😊
I enjoyed Bloodleaf and I'm excited to read Greythorne. And I liked Beach Read. My favorite of the year though is Crescent City and Crave. My other two favorites are The Sundown Motel by Simone St. James and Home Before Dark by Riley Sager. I'm reading Where Dreams Descend and A Court of Mist and Fury and One by One by Ruth Ware. Happy Reading and Writing. 📚📓📝📖🧡🍁
Girl! I'm thinking of getting into Haikyuu myself because of the shipping 😂 I was the biggest Sasuke x Naruto shipper ever several years ago (who am I kidding, I will never get over those two. lol) and a lot of people I follow from that time are really into Haikyuu, and I think it's because of the shipping, so I'm thinking of giving it a chance too. haha
Also I am sooo happy to see your video. 😊💖 I was actually thinking about you yesterday. I hope everything is well and that your book is being polished and you're still working on your dream.
Miss u lots now that u arent as active on twitter. I love ur twitter page & i dont even have a twitter account. I just only go check on u from time to time so that's saying something.
Yay! Kat! I kinda switch from reading novels to something more visual like manga and comics. I attempted NaNoWriMo twice and failed twice because but this year I’m going to try a different medium. I’m going to try and make a graphic novel or comic instead! My drawing is kinda mediocre but I’m slowly getting better. P.S Sorry for the random paragraph, can’t wait for your next video
Pladyduck Godzilla Yeah most likely Webtoons if I finish it. My goal is to have a outline and character summaries before NaNoWriMo but right now I’m just studying Andrew Loomis so I can draw better heads.
Kaaaaat I get youuu I love haikyuu so so so so muuuuch 💕💕💕🤧🤧🤧 like really I don't even have words lol I'm so hyped for to the top pt 2 and the manga and writing style of furudate!!??? Uuuuufff *chef's kiss*
