Hi Allison, I also live in Florida, (southeast). A funny story, on my way back to Florida from NJ road trip I bought boiled peanuts. I love them as well. I ate some in the car and saved the rest. I wanted to share them with my neighbor across the street who also likes them. Well instead of giving him the boil peanuts I gave him the shells from the ones I ate 😂. When we stopped I wanted to throw out the bag with the shells, instead I threw out the bag with the peanuts and kept the shells. He was hysterical and thought it was a trick. 😂😂. If you’re into parenting books, I highly recommend a book called The Danish Way Of Parenting. It’s incredibly interesting and it changed my perspective on parenting. P.S. I also read An Island Summer after watching your video and I thought it was a very light and easy reading, perfect for reading on a beach while on holidays.

I just read the Bringing Up Bebé book and while the cultural differences were interesting, as an American mom it didn’t really resonate with me. If anything, it made me angry about the lack of social support we have in America and how terrible our society regards moms 😢 very little of her French parents techniques would translate well in America because most of it is attributed to France’s excellent childcare/education system.
