Thank you! My kids were scared and convinced there was a monster out back until I found proof that it was just a frog. Their excitement when they heard the same call here was adorable.
Frogs are probably one of the first animals to have vocal cords! Their spring concerts have been going on for billions of years. The frogs are so in tuned with nature, you know it’s going to rain when they start singing!🐸
Loved this! I'm getting good at identifying birds but need all the help I can get in identifying frogs and toads. Loved the "it could be your neighbor..." 😂
Thank you! I'm in my living room listening to the loudest chirping coming from the chimney, echoing out from the fireplace. Doesn't sound like any of the ones listed here though. I think some kind of tree frog moved in. Happy to have the little guy around. I'm not calling pest control because it isn't harming anything
Great video came across it while looking up info on the frogs we got here in a South Brooklyn goldfish pond, by watching your vid I found out they are bull frogs. Thanks for the info, got to visit Georgia sometime, so many wonderful frogs!
Even though I live in northern Minnesota I enjoy being near a large wildlife pond and hear a near deafening chorus of all the frogs you mentioned and a whole bunch more 🐸
I think I hear #4 in my yard. In February, with no real water source around (other than a wet weather creek that hasn’t had water in it in a while)…. Am I losing it??? 🤣
I’m assuming these are the same kinda frogs we have in Alabama? I’m trying to identify what kinda frog or toad I keep hearing outside my window by the pool every evening. It’s so loud that I thought it was in the house with me at some point 😂 just finished the video & still didn’t hear it so still looking
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. No frogs there. Now I'm in Gwinnett County and I learned that frogs can chirp rather loudly all night. The ones I here didn't seem to have been covered here. The frogs I hear sound like a thousand children on squeaky swing sets. Any ideas?
A frog has made his home in a hanging plant I have outside of my living room Sliders in South Florida he has been there for months now! Plant is not doing as well as it was, I spray it with my hoes and it's kind of like a marsh in there. I feel like he's a pet now I have actually had him he's not afraid and he makes this duck loud noise every night I have it recorded and have a picture of him, and have been researching every kind of frog and I cannot pinpoint then sound with the Frog. I guess I have too much time on my 72-year-old retired hands
