We have a wrap around front porch that I love decorating! We have 4 rockers in the front with a wicker table and wicker tea cart. Outdoor lamps on both which looks so pretty at night. On the side porches we have wicker rockers and ferns in plant stands. It's so pretty, we're out there all the time. Your porch looks beautiful, enjoy! ❤

Hi Crystal, Love the green topiaries in your pots, they look so real. Your flowers look great now but when they fill in they are going to be gorgeous. I like the planter of flowers on the small table they look so pretty. I know what you mean about the pillows on the chairs because we always throw ours down too. If you too want to put some maybe some colorful lumbar pillows might look a little better. Of course, I can’t ignore the star Charlie you should have snapped a pic of him because it looked like he is posing for one. 😊❤😊🌸🌼🍃🌻

I love watching your porch decorating. I also go overboard on flowers. I haven’t tried styrofoam on the bottom of the flower pot, but I do use my used small plastic pots to fill up the bottom of the pots. I also want to buy those trays for the bottom of my planters that have wheels. Have you seen those? Have a great day! Enjoy the summer weather ❤

Spray paint the drip pans to match your planters

Crystal I use the used water bottles......less mess than Styrofoam and as you said still saves dirt and is less weight when moving them. Your front porch is very pretty.

I have planters on my porch filled with flowers and “ potting soil” and I can’t move them😂😂. I love pillows for the look, however, they really aren’t comfortable. Looking forward to the back patio❤❤

I decorate with tones of flowers. I won’t say how much I spend but it’s a lot. I’m on the hunt for some used outdoor furniture this year. I find patio furniture ridiculously expensive for such a short turn around time. Love the topiaries

Before you start your porch looks cleaner then mine! Here in calif. Lowes doesnt sell bedding plants anymore......so weird.I bought the tiered planters on Amazon and actually planted wildflower seeds. Took about 3 months but they look beautiful now. Oh...Home depot has bedding plants thank goodness! Charlie is definitely the best finishing touch for your porch!Love the pillows on the chairs. I go with holiday themed pillows.

Hello we keep ours simple we live in a gated community with hoa so we have lawn maintenance once week so simple is easier on everyone. We love not doing our lawn it’s hot here in Texas.

Looks great as always. How often do you water those flowers. I have such a hard time keeping anything alive lol. I live in south Florida but most of my plants n flowers stay more in the part sun n shade. I buy flowers n plants n they die? Maybe I water too much 😩

Your porch looks great! You are such a hard worker - cleaning all of your areas! You’re right - the results are so satisfying! Thanks for the rip about the styrofoam. Another tip when planting your flowers is to break up the roots a little before putting them in the dirt, especially if they’re as root bound as some of yours were. You will get better results with your blooms. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful front porch! I just wanted to say I really like the black trays under the pots. It pulls all the black together. As far as the pillows…I would add them (maybe lumbar ones?) but it just looks more welcoming in my opinion. But I do understand if they aren’t practical.

I planted all my potted flowers on Mother’s Day and my husband showed me a new trick to planting multiple flowers in one big pot. You take your flower out of the plastic container and set aside. Then you basically plant the container and pack soil around the container. Then slowly lift the container and it leaves the perfect mold to then place your flowers. Genius. It made it so much easier because I didn’t get soil on any of my flowers trying to get them packed around the base. 😊 also agree with roughing up the roots first. Happy planting for your next go round. 🌸🌼

If you use rocks instead of styrofoam you can reuse the soil and the plants will like it more too! Love all the color you chose for your planters!

You should tease the roots apart before planting them. Most of those flowers look quite root bound. Also, if your Styrofoam is too near the top of your planter, the roots may not have room to spread out adequately.

am wondering what kind of plants are in your garden that are hot pink and purple. I'm sure that they are perennials. but what kind. When you plant new flowers or any plant with roots; you are suppose to loosen the roots before you put into the dirt I see so many people not doing that and I always mention this to them.

I actually like the pillows. Makes everything feel cozier. ☺️

I think it looks great right now. Once your flowers grow out a bit and you are able to see rhe blooms it will look more like headed into summer. I am to head into serious packing mode. We will be moving out by July 1st. Its been hard finding a rental that's big enough for a blended family. We are seeing a home tomorrow that hopefully fits us. Fingers crossed. So we've been slowly taking seasonal decor and garage stuff we wont be needing right away to storage. Then we need to do attic and family room. The other rooms will only take a couple of boxes. I'm excited for a fresh start but I really hate moving! Not sure how the grandchildren will be with moving. I hope there are children in the new neighborhood to play/go to school with for them.

Your porch is beautiful! I use plastic bottles for a filler for my large pots, no mess. Lol

I love all the flowers you picked! Y'all do a great job picking every year. A few notes: Last fall, either Home Depot or Lowes had synthetic layering rugs up front in the seasonal. I never bought one before, because so many friends had their porches stained by the ones from Hobby Lobby & such that are dyed. Mine is like the material of a big deck rug but front door size. Keep an eye out for them. They were a little more, maybe $20ish, but nice quality. They had various colors. I bought black & white. We use our front door every day, and it still looks new. It is smart for you to pack your pots full like you do where you live. Anyone with a long or normal growing season, do leave more room for plants to fill in & don't use all of that Styrofoam. Here in the south, our plants would dry out & die due to not having enough water reserves... unless you water multiple times a day. Where you live, I don't think it's a concern. The pillows you picked were cute! I don't put pillows on our front porch. Wind barrels down our road during storms, and I don't want to have to chase them or worry they'll get dirty from being blown into the yard. Plus, like you, they aren't actually used for comfort in those front chairs. So, I gave up on them. 😂 In the pictures, the black doesn't look bad with the gray pots. I do wish all pots came with matching saucers! 🌸 To answer your question, we put out patriotic decor just before Memorial Day. It stays out until Labor Day, usually... for sure through July. Most of us on my street do that. I just put out part of the stuff last night. 🇺🇸❤🎉

Hi Crystal, Maybe instead of pillows, look for the "all in one" cushions that have a seat and back rest that you tie down to your chair. Great way to add color and comfy to sit on. I've seen ones that are thinner but still add the comfy feel. Love Charlie!❤
