There is almost something spiritual about nature’s sounds. Such a wonderful reminder to stop and listen. “Be still and know...”. Your garden and flowers are so lovely. As a gardener I know it takes so much time to achieve the beauty, but rewarding too. Tfs. ❤️

Mary, you are truly amazing! I can just imagine how welcomed everyone felt at that garden party. It's obvious that everything you do is done with so much love. I especially love watching the kitties! When I quilt and sew I always have at least two "helping " me by sitting on my lap or my quilts! Your flowers and gardens are gorgeous! Our groundhog family has made sure that most of my perennials did not bloom this year and they have eaten all my Zinnias. Thankfully they don't seem to enjoy Hostas!

So good to see who I call my "Proverbs 31" sister! Well, Mary, I'm so impressed as always! Once upon a time, before I lost everything in my divorce, I had almost the exact choices and placement of flowers, plants & bushes asyour lovely garden! I'm very grateful to have had it and enjoyed every minute in spring & summer from sun to sun down! It was such a blessing the good Lord entrusted to me! We entertained outdoors very often as well! I grew up in a farm, my dad still does, the sounds of the beautiful nature, is the best! I love going out and hearing the coyotes sing! The largest Hosta I know many call it Elephant ears, I have a few of them, plus other different ones, I love them so much! I think they remind me of the forest plants. I’m building a creek pond this summer, it’s been in the making a couple years, I finally can concentrate on it! Hostas sure seem to be happy near yours, so I’ll try some! My grandparents did not have air conditioning and we would open the windows at night and I went to sleep listening to those sounds. WONDERFUL MEMORIES!!

Mary.... Oh my your gardens are lovely. You may not think so, but yes they are! I love all the beautiful shades of greens you get in the Hosta Plants. For a long time I was not a fan of that plant, then I bought some from a School Fundraiser. I became hooked! My neighbor has her side lawn that borders mine full of them. So between hers and mine, the shady spot is gorgeous with lush green tones! My Father had an amazing green thumb and beautiful flower beds. He always had Impatients in the shady locations. But he started them from seeds in mid winter. Yes a true green thumb! So he could plant 100’s of them for what a “flat” of them would be at the Green House! I do not have any suggestions...I didn’t get my Father’s magic touch. I adore seeing the tenderness you show with your felines! I have Maine Coon Cats and love them dearly.. I have one who always loves to “help me” when I am sewing, reading, etc too! Not much help... but love to hear her purr ! (. Yes... I am one of those crazy cat ladies I guess. 6 inside cats and one that is so neglected, I could not stand it anymore.... he comes morning and night now for feedings! )

I live in Northern Indiana, my backyard ends at a small lake/wetland. The "music" in your yard is just like the music I hear in mine all the time. In the Spring the peepers are so loud I can't open my windows! We may be in the flat part of the country, but my goodness how beautiful are the wetlands, woods and well-tended farms. Nothing like taking a drive in the country and seeing the beauty of a well tended farm and garden. Thanks for the tour of your garden.

I used to get so discussed with myself, always moving plants, until someone told me your not a real gardener till you moved plants 3xs🤣love your landscape, my mom had a greenhouse and nursery for over 30 yrs, she died 7 yrs ago, so plants always remind me of her

I'd love to see gardens like this that also have fruits, and vegetables.

when your Hostas get so big, we need to divide into 1/2 or 4 quarters (depending on how big) in winter and plant the other half or (3) quarters, and watch these grow! you can fill in bare spots in your garden with these !! your gardens look beautiful!

Love the tour! Years ago I was on a real tight budget and found rose impatients but they were expensive. I bought a few plants and broke off stems and started roots in water! They filled my planter boxes! Of course I kept it up through out the summer!

So inspirational! We have the opposite problem, as we have very little shade. We live in the HOT South, so my hydrangeas are under trees, but they still look "droopy" at the end of a hot day. What I have had success with is many of my annual flowers come back each year! This saves me so much money. I found this out the year I was too lazy to pull them up when Winter came😱!
