Hi everyone! Today I am sharing summer holiday travel essentials for Italy! As always, I have kept this list very general since wardrobe essentials look different for everybody. I hope you find these helpful if you are traveling to Italy and beyond this summer!

Love the outfits, Alyssa! I recently purchased a one-peice bathing suit with long, dramatic ties on each shoulder. Yesterday, I wore it as a top, underneath a long skirt, and was quite happy with the look! Your red swimsuit would be great with pants, and maybe the navy button-up on top, tied at the waist! I love hats! I recently got back into them this year and I feel like they add so much chic yo an outfit! I also got a Panama/straw hat similar to the one you showed. I love it. I’m still trying to get into the whole minimal-ish capsule thing, but I also love clothes! Have a wonderful vacation! The clothes you chose are beautiful.

I love everything Sezane! This is my favorite collaboration! The Rome short is so beautiful and looks great on almost all body shapes. The A line of the shorts make legs look slimmer, and they are very flattering! Another gorgeous video!

I love Italy. Enjoy your time off and the pizza and gelato that is so yummy. What part of Italy will you be travelling to? Great clothing options for your trip. When my family and I went to Italy, we each had our own suitcases. We overpacked to say the least. I am learning now how to pack minimally. I will be in NYC at the end of August so I plan to visit the Sezane boutique with my daughter. I love that store. I always purchase at least one item for me and my daughter. Thanks for your videos. Yeah, I'm not sold on those shorts as travel clothing in terms of bulk and weight. I appreciate all the other qualities you mentioned about them but unless I was going hiking in a jungle somewhere and needed something tough to hold up to the battering, I'd be packing a similar design in a much lighter (flowy) fabric like tencel or a linen blend, (even a viscose)

Hi beautiful Alyssa! Thx for this vid! Look at the white v neck yr showing at 3.20 it has brown underarm stains. 😩solve this by only using aluminum free deodorant !! Caudalie has the best one

I watch you styling with that Milo raffia bag so often that I succumbed and found a similar leather with raffia flap structured bag from Italy for $22. It is so versatile, goes with everything casual or not in hot weather. I will be traveling for 5 weeks late Spt/early Oct (cross country drive, 10- day cruise, days in Montreal, and 2 flights) with only a carry on. I will bring my Salomon light trail runners to use on treadmills and for sight seeing. I am not sure if the North Eastern weather would be really hot or not so I am choosing items I can layer.

Salut Alyssa! Fellow Canuck here, living in Belgium 😊 My style is very similar to yours and I live in linen in the summer! As much as I love Sézane they unfortunately do not have plus sizes. H&M offers fabulous linen and linen blends clothes at affordable prices every summer in a wide range of sizes. Are they a fast fashion brand? To a certain extent I would say yes, but I've had some of their linen shirts and trousers for years, wore the heck out of them and they look as good as the day I bought them! I look for good quality (for the price), buy classic cuts, take good care of my clothes, and wear them for years. Somehow I feel it's not really fast fashion if you buy curated pieces and wear them a long time.

I love Sezane, but I haven’t been super impressed by the quality. Maybe it was the shirt I bought, but it had a few stray threads hanging from it, and the color was different than it looked on the website. Maybe it was the fact that it was viscose. I do still have and have my eye on their silk blouses.

Can I ask…is your sea green cardi from sezane…how do you wash it?? I’m usually really good about how I was my wools and silks etc, but the one I got from them has shrunk significantly. I can still wear but it’s not that loose, off my body fit that I wanted 😢

There's a lot of black and not a single piece of denim! You need denim! More dresses like the lovely floaty yellow maxi dress and fewer trousers, summers in Italy are hot and since you'll be at the beach a lot, why the long trousers?

Just noticed something. Please don't take this as critisism. I was recently just corrected on this. A women's shirt with buttons all the way down is actually called a button down. A top, blouse or shirt with a few buttons on the top is called a button up.

That’s simply not true! A button up refers to a top with buttons running all the way from top to bottom. A button down is the same thing except with the addition of buttons on the points of the collar which allow the wearer to “button down” the collar to the shirt. Feel free to look it up!
