I've read almost all of these and loved every single one, especially The Boatman's Daughter, one of my fave novels ever! Fantastic list! The books recommended to you sound good, too!

Great list Brad! I've only read The Elementals, but would love to add most of these on my tbr list. I have heard that the Blackwater series is insanely good!

Thanks, Cliff! I'd been wanting to read The Elementals forever and finally got to it a year or so ago. I definitely need to read more from McDowell and the Blackwater series sounds like it is his epic.

Great video! I own Jedi Summer. My copy came from Sadie's horror box a few years ago and has a longer title: Jedi Summer with the Magnetic Kid. I've now pulled it from my shelves to read this summer.

Thanks, Josée! I have that same copy from the Night Worms package too. As far as I know the contents inside are all the same just has the original title. I really hope you enjoy it. John Boden is an amazing writer.

Love your channel, I subscribed. You have great taste in horror. My tbr just exploded, thanks!😂 Btw, the only one I've read is the Elementals, one of my fav books. The Black water books have been on my tbr forever also! Just can't find them anywhere unless I spend an arm and a leg lolxx

Thanks, Angel! Exploding TBR's should be my mission statement haha. The Elementals was a fantastic read. I'm excited to finally start the Blackwater series hopefully sometime soonish. All of his books are hard to find. I was lucky and got an audiobook copy of Blackwater.

I've only read Ghost Summer by Tananarive Due out of this list of books. I loved it but then again I love short story collections. I want all of these books that you've listed.

Dude! what a rad video, Brad! I love summer horror so I must recommend a couple!😁🤘 The Kill River trilogy by Cameron Roubique is quintessential summer horror!😃🔪 The Forgotten Island by David Sodergren and The Ruins by Scott Smith are both classic tales of vacation gone very, very wrong. I seriously love those books! Summer of Fear by Louis "I Know What You Did Last Summer" Duncan is a super fun YA horror! And, let's not forget The Lifeguard by Richie Tankersley Cusick, a fun 90’s YA horror! So much summertime goodness! 😃🤘☀️🔪

Thanks, Russell! I just started The Ruins a day or so ago. They just made it into the jungle so things are about to go bad soon I am pretty sure. The Kill River books have been on my radar for a while now. I read Roubique's Disco Deathtrap a few years back and had fun with it. The other books you mentioned I'll need to be sure and check out, especially Forgotten Island. Hope you enjoy your summer reads man!

Actually, wasn't that in one if your book haul videos where you'd found some books at a thrift store or a library sale or something? It's so great!
