Hahah rain definitely doesn't hold us down. Thanks for the Mimosa tip! The char on the avocado looked amazing. We didn't try the corn bread during our dinner visit, so I'm glad they have it for brunch too. I'm so happy to hear the Vegan cookie was a 5. We had the same thoughts about Gideon's but am so happy that these cookie offerings are a lot different than Gideon's and much more accessible to the average guest. We're going for brunch this weekend- I'm looking forward to it, because I figure even if it's not the best- there's still COOKIES!
looks like a beautiful atmosphere, but after seeing several reviews, I have to say the food just looks meh. I'm not seeing any interesting dishes or food combinations just the same stuff I can find at most any American fare restaurant. And the portions are scant considering the price. That's just my humble opinion.
We were comparing the price of some of the dishes we had at Summer House to that of STK or places comparable to that and Summer House was the better value. But that makes sense.
gotcha. and I'm sure that's true. groceries and restaurant prices are high in general so that makes sense. I think it was just the food didn't look that great or interesting to me. You only got half a burrito? I know there are only so many dishes but I was hoping for more creativity🤷♀ that's just me though.....thanks for all the great reviews! @@PrincessandtheBear
I had the vegan burrito and cookie today. The cookie was AMAZING. The burrito was ok- but mine actually came with sauce!! So funny. Now I actually thought the side salad was so good 😂 I really liked the dressing. I am looking forward to coming back for dinner.
Did you try it with and without sauce? If so, was it better with? Or was the sauce in it and not on the side? Is the sauce good enough for a return trip? So many sauce questions!
The sauce was on the side and a green sauce! I’m not sure what it was exactly. I thought it was a guac type sauce at first so I dipped my burrito in it and took a bite and it was VERY spicy. I was like woah did not know this burrito was spicy. Then I took a bite without the sauce… and realize it was the sauce that was spicy. I think the sauce was was like on level w the peanut stew?? Like I thought that was pretty spicy when I had it but I plowed through bc I love a good Thai peanut dish- but I’m not a huge spice fan (I will add some sriracha into a recipe or some red pepper flakes but not all the recipe is asking for)
After watching all the reviews , Why should I go ? They are not offering anything you can’t get somewhere else Disney Spring / Disney for a lower Price and better Taste / Experience
Snickerdoodle is my favorite cookie so that cookie got me craving one something fierce. Summer House looks like it's really come through for Breakfast and Lunch/Dinner. Sometimes you only get one or the other, so for this restaurant to have both pretty mastered is a win in my book.
