Summer in the South of France 🇫🇷 (on a canal boat)

This summer I checked out the south of France with the fam bam which i've been wanting to do for ages (I always hear great things about the south!). Instead of staying in hotels in a few cities we decided to travel along the canal du midi on a canal boat, allowing us to see many towns and villages along the way. We checked out Carcassonne, Béziers and some other towns less well known. Southern France sure has some beautiful places to uncover and one week was definitely not enough!
P.s. We only crashed once... not bad if you ask me!

I've spent 7 months on canal rental boats in France and the UK, including 4 weeks on this one from the Med to the Atlantic and return. The Canal du Midi was my least favorite of my 10 cruises; Burgundy is much more interesting.

Some details would have been nice. You went from Beziers to Carcassonne on Canal du Midi? Is this a tour? Did you rent the boat? Buy the boat?

@@BonnieVoyage details of this kind of trip are pretty much unknown outside of France. Was it a tour? Did you rent the boat? Who drove it? Who cooked?

@@slicksalmon6948 i didn’t think people would be interested in that :D good to know! We rented a boat with the company « le boat », and anyone can drive it actually! You don’t need any kind of license. And while you can cook (there’s a kitchen) we ate mostly at restaurants along the canal in the villages :)

Hi Bonnie, Very nice pictures and well edited. BUT.... you have to be more informative with your description " This is a water bridge over a river canal system.. I'm not sure" ?????. Not good enough if you expect to get a following.( Its an AQUEDUCT over the river ORB !!!!). People want and expect more accurate information. Keep up the good work, just more info. please. Max. Australia.
