Summer job as a shepherd in the mountains 

Reichenau marks the confluence of the Anterior Rhine with the Posterior Rhine, which originates on the eastern slopes of the Rheinwaldhorn, the highest mountain in Ticino. The European watershed line, determining whether water will flow north to the North Sea or south to the Mediterranean, runs through the mountains here. Laura Helbling spends her summer in one of the pristine side valleys, caring for more than 2,000 sheep, cows, and horses. The tough Alpine summer is an escape from the
city lifestyle, and a long-standing tradition in the young woman's family.
