Ok...I appreciate this from an actor/director's stand point...But I really think this number was too scattered to appreciate the whole objective of the scene! There were clearly too many people doing the choreography...and each move wasn't specific...which made most of the number very sloppy! The voices were good....but it seemed like they were only out to just sound good than to act...this is just my opinion....and I actually like Grease.
Sorry, I jumped to fast without reading the description. I thought it was the one with Laura and Max the winners of Grease: You're the One I Want. The new show on Broadway. I will learn to read the desription next time then ask a stupid question. Sorry, my stupidity shows through sometimes.
One more thing. Danny's wardrobe. Why does he have a red shirt underneath? And the blocking, Sandy and Danny actually making contact with one another. Kind of strange, but different I guess. Wow, I must have no life if I'm really looking into this....
Fantastic choreography and good directing. Poor poor poor vocals, lacked punch and energy. Vocal coach/musical director should have worked on this scene, especially as its one of the most iconic in the whole musical.
very good choreography.. but the interaction between sandy and danny?? wateva bout da rest of da cast but those 2? like theyre supposed to be in totaly different places! but otherwise... top quality!
i suppose it does, but you have to consider that the audience has no background information.... like i understand your idea but not sure it came across, but like i said still very good.
i guess the reason i think like that is cause we did it in college and my director was a real stickler for keep it to the sript and no changes. BUt i love the vocals
im trying out for sandy tomorrow a little nervous and excited i hate how they buch butchered the play to be nothing like the movie tho :( it should be fun n e ways
my high school chorus is performing this in march. i made the joke i should be sandy cause my names olivia. i'd rather play the leader of the pink ladys
i was in the show, i think it was meant to be a flashback.. we told our dance instructer we shouldnt dance together, but she wanted it to be that way. :)
i see a lot of people saying that sandy and danny should not have interacted. but... i see it as they were having like a flashback maybe? like they were imagining what they did that summer? i think it was a good idea.
that was sooo good!! my school is doing this. the whole cast rehersed this together. and there only using the leads in this scene! i really like how you guys did this!
