There's a scene missing around the 48 minute mark with Linda reading a book mentioning horses reacting to negative things, followed by the family sitting around the living room talking.
That awful unflattering perm Linda had was all the rage in the late 70s, I had one myself, one big frizzy mess it was, perms have come a long way since then.
Dress has definitely been altered, it had a lot more material in it when Ray tried it on, probably not even the same dress, looked lovely on Julia but she should of worn a slip as it is too sheer. Ray was gaslighted alright, I found it hard to like her character as she’s obviously been rather spoilt and came across whiney, I would have loved Rachel’s privileged life growing up. What girl wouldn’t want a beautiful home, huge lovely bedroom, horses and a boyfriend to die for to boot! Can’t condone Julia’s actions, but she obviously grew up impoverished and probably didn’t have the loving family that Rachel had, she wanted the life Ray was blessed with by accident of birth and was willing to do anything to get it.
