The segment on the Mayfly reminded me that in Scotland, many years ago, watching the Salmon leap upstream, a ghillie remarked to me, " 'Tis just another miracle." I have never forgotten that.

Thank you Luke. I only used 3 patterns during the 2017 season on the Frome. We had large grannom hatches in April, for which I devised my own imitation size#14. That was a new dressing for me I just made it up, one evening. It was very successful. Mayfly in May and June I used a pattern I have been evolving for twenty old years a tweak here a tweak there. It has evolved into a soft hackle dry emerger in sizes #12 and #14. My other go to pattern is a CDC emerger in sizes #16 #18 and 20# these too I have evolved over twenty odd years too. And cover the olive hatches. I could give you chapter and verse on how to tie them, but not on here. I have notes on how I fish these and how to tie them. I am on facebook though. PM me.
