So i just wanted to comment something that i personally interpret from the lyrics. When he talks to his mother in the first verse he talks to her like a son to mother. In the second verse he tells his sister how much he has missed her. I feel like he was so distant and has grown so much that he is still talking to his mother but now he views her as a sister of earth. Like he got back to the real world.
I wouldn't be surprised if these guys had sold their souls to be able to never make a bad song, I have listened to every song and there isn't a single one I dislike! These guys are pure gold!
Mother, I haven't been well Search though my life and I think it's time for me It's time, it's time to embrace this part of me Lost can take a little while on a long journey So come on, come on, laughin, I will be there with my brothers and then Love is the answer to most of my questions you can't comprehend And if I get back to the real world, I'll be back in time for you Sister, tell me what's new I've been going native for months since I've been missing you Missing you grow, missing the world you hold so closely To keep from being alone, a world we call our home So come on, come on together sit down right here with my sister and friends History cherishes lifetimes upon us sing if you wish And if I get back to the real world, I'll be back in time for you
"|Lost can" or maybe: "That longs to| take a little while on a long journey"? "with my |brothers and then / brothers in hand|"? "I've been going native for months |since I've been / and somehow| missing you"? "|a world / oh where| we call our home"? "Come on |together / take care or| sit down right here"? -anybody sth? Solve.
Im a Vietnamese and this is the 1st time ive commented on your songs, and im so excited when finding out that yall wrote your band name in Vietnamese! 😝😝 It's 'mùa hè muối' kkk. Although its 'muối mùa hè' actually but it still makes me happy and excited so much!!! The first time ive known yall is when I listened to your song "One last time" 5 months ago and it immediately became one of my fav songs, especially at that time, i cant count how many times ive replayed it cause i fall in love at the first sight with its vibe!!! like being in heaven 😭, 😋😋😋 Luckily ive listened to it again today and while i was trying to find more songs, i found this line 'mùa hè muói" 😝😝 Thankss godd. Pls keep your journey cause its soo gooddd and i love your song so much!! I will follow yall from today hehe
@@dudibarros4272 Na verdade tem tudo a ver. Do site oficial deles: "Their next release, Going Native (2015), was inspired by a trip abroad where Terry began diving into artists such as Joao Gilberto, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Gilberto Gil which lead to a new writing direction using Latin elements. Moving forward, with the anticipation of their forthcoming release Honeyweed, Summer Salt maintains phonetic components of Brazilian tropicalia and 60’s folk pop while drawing inspiration from seasoned topics of loss and renewal." Até compartilharam no twitter oficial uma playlist com músicas da tropicália ;)

@Samuel Powell thanks for the subjection , i do like summer salt but i especially love this song in particular because of the lyrics and the intruments that really speak to me and my personal life . Lately i have been listening to some 80s really nice and chill japanese beach music and city pop . so yeah i would like to recommend a guitar legend, Masayoshi Takanaka and his brazilian skies album ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YOX9LQ6v73w.html
it's easy it like an E hendrix with your pinky a half step down. it alternates that with your middle finger moving up a string to make it the same shape but with the root on the B. Then a7major. then on the alternate part of the vocals were they walk up it goes from the E hendrix shape and walk it up a whole step with your pinky moving up a half step. that's pretty much it.
Hey so looks like I might be 4 years too late but I just saw this comment as I've been checking this tune out for a student of mine. Here is a transcription I just did. It's not exactly the same rhythms as the record but hopefully it's a start with the chords and structure/strumming patterns e.t.c. Happy practicing! drive.google.com/file/d/1uf0_B5pjGqnWd3mjZMXb6XrmKRXQ1Hm5/view?usp=sharing
on the beach when it was sunny i still see ur shadow, when we hugged and i kissed you, your lips tasted like strawberries, and i loved you dearly.. sweetheart what happened to what we had :( i wanna go back to aug 21st when the sun reflected on our faces it nearly blinded us.. but it still felt like heaven.
@@johanechavarriamoreno3903 actually 'verano salado' would be translated as 'Salted summer'. Salado' is an adverb in spanish. I think the correct form of the title would be 'sal de verano', havin 'summer' as the adverb.
