At Walmart if there is a “clearance” sign on the shelf, TAKE A PICTURE OF IT and show the Walmart cashier when checking out. You will get the clearance price. My Walmart is notorious for this.

But they can't help it when someone decides to leave an item there. I tried once, they had a full cooler of packages of chicken breast and the sign said $5.50 each.. not per pound, they would not honor it. That was definitely an employee not signing correctly.
