I'm so happy that you started uploading again, your gameplay is always top notch entertaining and your selection of music is always on point with my taste! :D
How do you actually do those stabs that are basically from the front? The kill at 0:26 is such a facestab that there is no way you calculated that would be a backstab (he's looking RIGHT AT YOU on YOUR SCREEN). If I saw that in-game I would claim cheats. Is it your interp settings?
I stab predictively, based off "feel", I don't wait for the raised knife. The kill at 0:26 felt right to me, I was not going for a shank (wouldn't make much sense to do that...). I use cl_interp .0152, basically the minimum value.
It is absolutely calculated. The scout was flicking around really fast. The calculation isn't done from that tiny movement at the end. That can be ignored. The spy didn't predict that rotation, but just approached it as a cornerstab, and the rotation aligned well enough with that. Model rotation is delayed, which is why this looks weird.
It's something to do with the servers and the players seeing different things. The reason facestabs happen is because the server didn't register that they turned around as quickly as the player did, making tiny split second weird looking stabs like that. I think. (take with a grain of salt I don't know if I'm remembering correctly.)
@@stabbyvideo Thanks for the explanation, it still feels weird, like it is not intentional for Spy to be able to get those stabs if you know what I mean, I can't decide if I'm impressed or disgusted by the fact that you're pulling it off xD
you would know how this stab is a backstab, if you just watched slurgie/starykrow. it LOOKS like a face stab for two reasons. Number one: it's on the edge of the VERY GENEROUS hitbox. Number two: the world view model CAN be misleading, and is a milisecond behind. it's easier to tell where, say a pyro is looking, based on the tip of his flamethrower AND NOT his face, or shoulders. stop looking at their head/shoulders. they litterally mean nothing. yes. the face and shoulders litterally mean NOTHING
hey man, don't know if you'll ever see this but you got my really into spy and I am throughly enjoying it. Got my first trickstab today using the stairs to jump over a pursuing pyro because I saw you do it :)
I honestly didn't notice any laggy-ness before posting, but looking closely I think I can see what you're talking about. My guess is that this happens when skipping to frame in the demo editor...I'll be sure to check for this bug in the future and implement a workaround. Thanks for pointing out.
@@stabbyvideo Yee either that or you are a spy irl and you are playing from some hole in the dessert while undercover smh btw I think this is a bug for certain cpu's if I remember correctly but sometimes its just the demo file keep it up proud of you
3:41 Stabby, tell me how did you find this kind of player, Heavy literally just saw a spy trickstab all his team and just went "Yeah I will pretend I didn't see all that and give my back for the spy to stab too"
Amazing frags, hope you don't mind, I ended up getting the same kunai as you by coincidence (cerebral discharge manndarinn) and was wondering what you named yours, I don't really wanna "copy" you but you did inspire me to play spy, so I thought it would be nice. Great spy gameplay as always.
Stabby has reached the stage of experience where we can legitimately use the phrase for him: *"Beware of an old man in a profession where men usually die young."* He's become the Mike Ehrmantraut of TF2. 👍😎 (That old assassin in Breaking Bad, for those who might've forgotten) Get him on your team, and depending if you have a couple of brain cells per teammate and listen and pay attention to what he's doing and support him, you'll cruise on easy mode. Play against him, and prepare for frustration. 🤣
I like the maps featured in this video. Some of the maps have bugged textures or give me very bad frames, but I think they're all very aesthetically pleasing.
