Summer Striper Fishing Part 1 - Downriggers 

Great video, I have a boat on Texoma and wondered about the downriggers I see on other people's boats, but was embarrassed to ask. Thank you.

I put this on my boat this year. Works great without breaking the bank on an electric model.

*We tried this out finally yesterday and it worked awesome! **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s we put it on our 16 foot aluminum boat and trolled with it. We didn’t catch anything but it was still fun and worked awesome! Can’t wait to use this baby again and hopefully reel in a big ole fish! Very easy to install and set up.*

done listen to these guys if u havent invested in a downrigger your missing out! we have been chassing australian king for for a couple of years now only boating one in this time since buying a downrigger we have boated about 13 up to 85cm in the last month!

works great, nice heavy connectors ur2.pl/2283 Used 2 of these on recent Salmon trip in Lake Ontario and several walleye trips in lake Erie. The speed is fast and takes some getting used to. Auto up works great but you'd better use a backing plate when mounting as the whole boat shakes when the 12lb weight breaks the surface and stops on a dime.

I have always wanted to know what down riggers were used for, but didn't want to look stupid by asking......now i know. Great video. Thanks

Is June a good time to fish for stripers at Lake Lanier? I would think they go into deeper waters this time ... Taking my boys this father's day weekend... hope to catch some real nice stripers.

don't waste your money on a downrigger. they aren't necessary at all

is it easier to use a crank that is up like this one? or a crank thats flat like a scotty?
