I’ve recently lost weight and my arms and legs are so flabby. At first I tried to cover up but now I’ve just embraced the sleeveless tops, bathing suits and shorts. I’m so much more comfortable!
Me, too. I listened to my late Mom tell me, every time she saw me, how she promised she would “never offend people with her wrinkled old arms”. I wear sleeveless everything, shorts, swimsuits and mini-skirts, flabby or not. We shouldn’t be cool and comfy just because we’re older or less toned than a size 2 16-year old? I don't see any men doing that, their huge beer bellies are hanging out everywhere! I’m with you, friend! Comfort first, always. Congratulations on your weight loss, I’ll bet you look great! Age 64🙂
Embraced shorts late 20s/early 30s too but that's because what was easily available was so short. When I finally realised my style, i started looking for high waist longer looser shorts and now I'm in love😊
Agree so much with what you said about showing our less than desirable body parts. My weight goes up and down (now going down) but I finally stopped caring about showing my arms when it is really hot. I’m 59 years old but wear spaghetti straps or strapless all the time in the heat and just don’t care. I see women much larger than me who I think look so cute in summery outfits so you are so right, we are our worst critics!
This year I decided I am going to wear shorts, dresses and short sleeve tops. I am dressing for Me and no one else. I just bought a bunch of tops and a dress thats sleeveless! Huge for me. Thank you Anna for Always stressing the need to dress for self. Mwah and a big hug.

Hi Anna, I'm with you on the arm freedom. I'm 72 and have no issues showing my bear arms. Of course a little tan helps them look better and I have nice shoulders that look good in a tank top. Great ideas in your video, thank you. Maralyn
It's interesting how much of a difference those small changes made to the outfits. One thought though, about embracing the imperfections: maybe we could stop even thinking of them as imperfections. It's not that we need to go to the other extreme and think of (fill in the blank body part) as perfect or lovable or attractive, but maybe just be more neutral about it.
I honestly was skeptical whether I would like this video or not, but it was an excellent video and the last tip was the best. It was the biggest one I needed.
Anna, the "before" and "after" outfits are equally pretty. Nobody but a stylist would know the difference. All of your clothes look great ! And I am definitely borrowing the elastic trick, thank you for this one !
Awww, your arms look great! Really. I absolutely love that silk skirt. And linen. I am focused on adding natural fibers into my wardrobe. Wool and silk made SUCH a difference last winter; I finally wasn't miserably cold.
I adore a cashmere sweater over a thin, long-sleeve, silk knit tee every cold day, the comfort and warmth are sublime! Plus, the tee keeps the sweater clean. Life’s too short to wear hideous, sweaty, itchy plastic clothes. Natural-fibers only forever🙂
I will say that my favorite looks in this review were the combos involving the beige/gold long skirt particularly with the red top and the matching beige vest top. I'm not certain of the material (satin-like) but for reference it was about 6 to 7.5 minutes into your review. The opening beige slacks and crop followed by the mini skirt to switch with the white button down probably my next favorites because the modifications were perfect in my opinion especially concerning comfort, breathing etc.
Linen and cotton. No tight clothes. A looser fit is better for comfort and to keep you cooler. Stay away from clothes that ride up and that you constantly have to adjust.
I bet your legs are fine! Sometimes we just need to ask the Lord for new eyes to see ourselves. You are a beautiful person made in the image of your Creator!

No, of course I don’t, nor toes, noses or whatever else. I think you are right. People mind their own things. In fact, no one ever approached me ever to say like „you know, this type of jeans do really not fit people being as small as you are“.
lol isn’t it funny when you think of it that way… like how often do we really obsess over a stranger’s anything! We have a 2 second thought and then move on. We should just all wear what we want 😜

At times when I’m trying to piece an outfit together I can tell it’s just not quite right and it can be hard sometimes catching exactly what it is. So I’ll keep trying different things until it comes together. This video was helpful to see what the various fixes can be. Love it!
Try wearing a tank top where your little side giblets hang out! 😂 I hated that, and so I made the effort to work out more often and now, I don’t mind wearing sleeveless. Great video. And stop worrying about your arms. They are nice and toned and sleeveless is a good look for you!
I’m with you in Florida. It’ll be summer until November! 😎 I recently saw myself in an all beige and white outfit. I looked hideous! I’m beige head to toe. Definitely adding more color. I love my satin midi but wear wide belt so I can tuck tops in. 😂 Btw……love your new hair and makeup!

Hello Anna, learning much from you and your channel. I am trying to up my game these days and I love your hints and tips. I've been looking for pleated, high waisted linen pants. The elastic waist ones are too bulky on my 5'2" petite frame. What brand are those, please? You always look sophisticated. You show us an elegance in even the casual that exudes confidence and comfort!
Oh, it’s so hot in Texas. I wish I could follow all these, but I am not comfortable showing my arms or legs after a large weight loss and plus everywhere you go inside is freezing so I always have a cardigan or a long sleeve shirt handy.
I love the look of linen shorts so much better and also I never understood why everyone wants to wear denim shorts in this heat??? If feel like the jeans material makes everything even hotter😱
Argh, I've got the same problem with my arms! Even though I wear a small in general and I'm constantly carrying heavy items, I still have annoying arm flab!! I should be called jiggles.

@@ANNAREID29 it’s truly beautiful in Hawaii and your child would love it too! You can island hop on a plane to four main islands or just veg out on one of the less populated islands. And you have all the summer clothing right in your closet already! Lol!
One problem is that is you have a larger bottom half and smaller top half, a black top and light bottom doesn’t look great (on me anyway). But a white top and black pants looks like a uniform.
