Got out on James this afternoon, wind was blowing and had a small weather system moving through. Fished from 1-8pm. Fish were eating a 1/2oz War Eagle spinner bait pretty decent. Also caught some on a jig.
Caught some small fish, lost my opportunity on a couple better ones,
Ready for fall time lol, I hate summer.

Great video Josh! Didn't realize a spinnerbait would do that well on James. Man that raccoon vs deer showdown cracked me up! Gotta love that lake!

Going all day tomorrow, should be cooler than average. Fishing in a Jon boat with no electronics, any advice?

Man I have no idea, water temps are still really hot, if I were going out in aluminum boat I would fish backs of creeks and drainages early, then I would run up Catawba river and fish where there is some cooler water and current.

What state is this lake located..? It appears to be a smaller lake size.

Mountains of NC, lake is roughly 10 square miles.

We caught them on a jig pretty good a couple nights ago man, drag it out deep, fish seem to be in the 12-20 ft range.
