Illinois coach Brad Underwood discusses his offseason roster overhaul, the addition of Will Riley, Terrence Shannon Jr.'s NBA Draft projection and more.
So much credit to this guy. He's completely changed the culture. The results have continuously gotten better. Recruiting has been unreal lately. Also think is worth mentioning that he has done one hell of a job of taking a look in the mirror and changing throughout his Illini tenure as a coach. As a former coach, one of the hardest things to do is "find your team." So many people think you just show up and play and the talent just wins over all the time. It is damn hard to find the best combinations for your lineup, the pace of play, your offensive and defensive plans. I think Brad has gotten better with this each year. Literally just keeps proving people wrong. Next step of getting to the Final Four may be the hardest and require the most luck, but he has done nothing to make me think he can't get a team there soon enough.
Great press interview! I wonder if they could have a wireless microphone to pass around to the questioners. It’s hard to hear what is asked for a lot of the questions. Thanks!
Ha! Can’t happen. Big 10 has some semblance of academic integrity. Some. SEC is nothing more than a minor league sports conference that finds itself tagged with university names.
