......many growers struggle with vandas......you have found a great way to keep them happy.....and they reward you with blooms........beautiful blooms and great scent descriptions......
Peace to all flora and fauna! ^_^ I have a huge nest of wasps by the front door. And over time each year I am less worrisome of them. They chill with me on the porch now and I have no issues but it's still disarming to be taken off guard,band trying not to freak out. Haha
I would have walked away the first time the wasp appeared 🤣. And wow! You have so many vandas in bloom/spike! Very beautiful! I just have my Prr. Bangkok Sunset, Vandaenopsis Pulcherminn, and Renanthera phillipinensis x Vanda falcata! Lots of phals in spike too! So many seed capsules you have there! I actually started flasking seeds and after a few tries I got germination a few months ago and then my flasks got contaminated after a month 😔 back to square 1. It’s a challenge, but I’ve learned so much… though I don’t have kids to keep me busy ha.

@@Misslou2425 Well… they’d need to mature. They’re ready to cut when they start to turn yellow. If you remember by then sure, I’d give it a shot. Can always send you back some seedlings if it works out :) but don’t feel obligated I have a few here I’m waiting to ripen. To the wasp, your garden must feel quite homey

@LauraStansfield-tw7xb it is a Luna River brand grocery store Phalaenopsis with no ID believe it or not. Smells like cinnamon...the Spicy Hot candy brand type of fruity cinnamon scent. It likes to pup as well.
@richarddrake9650 same here in Ohio. Barely anything Fragrant in stores and definitely no Fragrant vandas. I order all my plants online for that reason. Cancer sucks...I wish you well! My mommy is a Cancer survivor.

@richarddrake9650 l have no seedlings. Infact...I try to stay away from very young orchids all together because my climate is just too unforgiving. I do have seed PODS though. I was told to let them age a little on the Vandas before removing it. Thanks for watching!
