For those of you asking about lighting, so sorry we ran out of time that day. Fixtures included, Robe 1200 Wash, Robe Spikie, Robe BFML Followspot, ClayPaky Mythos, Colorforce ii 48, VL3600 all controlled on MA3 Full Size in Mode 3.
And for everyone who's curious about how much money is being spent on conspicuous consumption in the name of religion, that lighting board costs $60,000 and is controlling another $10,000 to $50,000+ of lights. Lol.
Man I just came from the Brandon lake video of count ‘em and I was blown away by all aspects of the show. I really wanted to get all of the details and BTS. I’ve had this video saved for a while to come watch it and lo and behold it’s exactly what I was hoping for. Everyone killed it on this one! Feeling super inspired by y’all’s work!
But they are taxed... they are selling non-religious goods (tickets, parking, merch) if attendance was free and they only sold religious items ans claimed to be a church then they wouldn't be taxed. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I just started in the production world at my church after serving as a volunteer for 6 years so seeing how ya'll do concerts and have some similar gear is awesome! How did you get into the touring business and doing production like that for a living?
Thanks for the tour, it is really something! One question though: why are you not documenting the lighting rig as well? I would have loved to get some insight into the stage lighting and programming.
We tried a couple times that day and stuff kept getting in the way sadly. Lighting includes, Claypaky Mythos, Robe 1200, Robe Spiky, Colorforce ii 48, VL3600, BMFL followspot. Grandma3 full size consoles.
It’s actually a video I’ve been thinking about making, but 50% of us on this all volunteered and then worked for a church in production. Myself I worked at Bethel for 10 years and got to tour with Bethel Music, and then would start getting offers for other tours. This world is all about connections. The other 50% of the crew on this tour were vender techs. So they worked for Spectrum or PRG. That’s probably the easiest way to get on a tour fast is to find a job at a production rental house like PRG, Spectrum, 4Wall and the list continues.
@@davypelletier They've invested such an absurd amount of money and self into this whole charade that they would have to dismantle their entire personalities if they had to admit how hypocritical this is. So, they never will, and they'll tell themselves that Sky Daddy would approve
"Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp. For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds." Psalms 149: 3-9
I had an absolute blast being front and center in the pit at your show-mind-blowingly awesome! 🎉 Your video is super cool, but I've gotta admit, the tech jargon is like a whole other language to me. 🤷♀️ Any chance you could make a "Tech 101 for Grandmas" version? You know, break down how you make those dazzling lights and epic sounds in a way even my grandma would get. I'm super curious but need a little "tech-to-English" translation! 😊
I miss so much working on production team. I was head of cameras out our church and we had Blackmagic's Ursa minis and pocket 4ks. running around with a handheld ursa mini gave me so much delight
Thanks Drake! I found this video as I was looking for the details on the frontline mics. I was impressed how much John Foreman sounded like Brandon Lake and I wanted to see how it was done! I'm curious about the capsules and processing, as well as what you use for tuning!
Also, no shame in "cleaning out" your comments. I don't think calling out a brother in Christ in the RU-vid comments is something Jesus would condone anyways:)
Because most of your gear is run digitally especially your mixer, does the band/vocals control their own In-ears or the team fully controls the bands/vocals in-ears?
100%! 90% of our shows are using Digico and Waves for FOH and Mons. It’s pretty industry standard at the moment. Digico and AvId waves integration is pretty great.
What a video! I loved it. Congratulations to you all. What camera and lens did you use to record this vlog? the video and audio are great! Greetings from Perú.
Sadly we ran out of time that day. But fixtures were Claypaky Mythos, VL3600, Robe 1200, Colorforce ii 48, Robe Spiky, and BMFL Followspots. Controlled by 2x MA3 Full Size in mode 3. The strips on the stage edge are just some Chinese strips that clamp on.
@@DrakeKelch interesting. So in your opinion ln running a production company, do you find it more economical to buy the equipment outright as the business grows or loan or rent? I guess it's a little of both depending on the size of the production
@@OrbofShingeki a tour like this all the gear is rented from production rental houses. Owning a production company we own what we use all the time and rent in from rental houses what we need.

Practice! Most of us all learned in church by trying. Now days RU-vid has great info and also places like MXU and Production Online! Most church’s allow volunteers to come learn

So you guys just don't see the glaringly obvious contradictions that come along with spending hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars to play glamorous rock shows in the name of religion? Lol you can't make this stuff up
@@robroilen4441what about politicians who spend billions in tax dollars to help the poor but end up only helping themselves and wasting actually tax dollars? Why are you so mad about how an artist spends his or her own money? Why aren’t you commenting on Taylor swifts post who makes a billion dollars off of one tour?
@@eddiesuparman6178 This isn't an either-or situation, is it? Someone can be critical of excess whether it's on the part of Taylor Swift or hypocritical religious people. Like I said though, there's a huge difference when your conspicuous consumption is under the guise of religion, especially when that religion is supposedly operating on principles that disavow such things.
