i've loved your reactions to my previous videos and your enthusiasm to different genera of music. i'm falling deeper down the billy strings rabbit hole and thought i'd take you with me. this shows more of billy's musical range and as a bonus introduced me to marcus king. i'll be sending you a video of his as well. some amazing young talent! hope you enjoy

Guitars have different feels to them. The necks can be different thickness and curve. The wood can be different. Each player has a certain setup including how high the strings are off the great board to thickness of strings. So to play like this off of a guitar not set up for them is very impressive.

All true about the differences, but IDK about "very impressive" for a pro to play any guitar. You pick it up, feel and notice how it's different, then play it. It's still a guitar. Unless it's very messed up or very cheap, it isn't going to be a huge barrier. Especially not these guitars -- Billy is on an old Martin, and King is playing a '56 Telecaster. Both excellent, world-class instruments, I assure you they were no obstacle to playing well :)

At this level they could pick any of them off the wall and get good tone. They probably chose the ones that fit them best.

There's a VERY huge difference in vintage guitars and new ones. The guitars in the video probably cost about 15 to 20k each. For instance Billy's personal guitar that he plays the most is a 1942 Martin. The craftsmanship was way better in the past and the age of the wood makes them sound better.
