OMG! I am 62 yrs old, have hordes of grandkids, love and would never cheat on my wife..........but would you marry me! I am a huge Ella fan, and not many people can take one of her songs and make it their own like this! georgeous!
@@mollycolbourne If you're trying to do an impression of Ella Fitzgerald, sorry, but you don't sound anything like her. What you're doing is just another cover of a song that has been covered more times than any song in history, over 100 thousand times. And the song was composed by George Gershwin, one of the giants of 20th century music. If you were covering a song by The Beatles you would credit The Beatles, not somebody who once covered the song.
@@donaldsaigh8785 it’s a cover, not an impersonation. I covered Ella’s version since my grandma loved it and passed away before she got to hear me sing it. That aside, this is all just a bit of fun and I’d love to hear some suggestions of songs for me to cover in future! Have a lovely day Donald 😊
@@mollycolbourne Nothing against you, I just get upset because everybody does it and I don't want a generation thinking Ella wrote 'Summertime'. Gershwin is my favorite composer and I'd like younger people to understand that we didn't always live in a time when 'Bad Guy' is 'Song Of The Year' and Swift's latest is praised as though it's the greatest thing since Mozart's Requiem.
