I love Halloween H20! I feel like it doesn't get enough love. I have such fond memories of seeing at the theatre with my friends. Also, it's very much representative of teen horror from that time period, since it was written by Kevin Williamson (who also wrote Scream, I Know What you did Last Summer and lots of Dawson's Creek in case anyone didn't know).

I agree on watching cutesy and scary during Spooky Season! Halloween (1978) is my ultimate favorite, Scream, Stay Alive, HalloweenTown, & Hocus Pocus are musts! I saw Trick r Treat for the first time a couple years ago, and it’s a must every year, now lol I’ll definitely be rewatching Penny Dreadful soon, too 🎃

Pretty sure I've said this on another vid (but you hadn't asked yet lol) during Spooky Mail someone from the Spooky Family sent a sticker with Enoch on it (the jack-o'-lantern dude with like ribbons for a body), he's from Over the Garden Wall, and it's become a tradition to watch that miniseries (or whatever it is) as soon as the weather turns from super-hot to somewhat decent 🍁🍂 It's a cartoon with that classic vintage Halloween (think Johanna Parker) and it's wholesome, clever, suspenseful & I'd never've guessed the ending. Elijah Wood voices the main character, supremely well-casted throughout. Lots of love went into this and it deserves lots in return! 🎃🎀

As for Giallo's, I would say, Dario Argento's Tenebrae, Deep Red and Phenomena, Mario Bava's Bay of Blood (pretty bloody.. reminded us of Friday the 13th a little) and his movie Shock was good too but that's more supernatural. Colourpop SSH "Flexitarian" is my favorite highlighter ever. It looks to be similar to the shade you used here. It is so glowing & wet looking. I use it alone, or as a base to make any powder highlighter really pop.

Halloween H20 IS one of the best Halloweens. It has the most badass ending of any Halloween. They really could have left it there. They totally undid it in Resurrection which is probably the worst Halloween, but whatever. Halloween and Child's Play are my favorite horror franchises.

Omg. Both dreams are hilarious! I laughed so much! Also like Halloween on Halloween. Yesss Sleepwalkers. Saw it when I was a teen at 24h00 on Halloween at the cinemas. And then we had to walk home. Made for a fun experience! Two girls walking in the street in the dead of night. All jumpy and giggly. Also like the Babysitter. The first one. But I also go for a mix between scary stuff and more funny stuff. Fully plan on going old Skool with the Witches (Angelika Huston). I haven't seen the new one. I'll give that a go as well. And then good ol' Hocus Pocus. Thanks for the laughs Jade!

Love it. Lol the fried chicken was funny. Once I had a dream that I was in school during a zombie apocalypse and we were all trying to get away from the zombies and zombies were just breaking into the school they had us surrounded we were climbing on the roof threw windows the whole 9 and there's zombies falling in the pool we're trying to get out of it, it was so strange I woke up because of it and then went back to sleep I always have those dreams when I take melatonin.

I had not heard your original telling of the fried chicken poop story and it did make me literally laugh out loud, with just my animals around, while I fed them, so thank you for that joy! Also love that the guacamole hog got his comeuppance in such a dramatic way 😂 I’m in LA and it has been hot and miserable too, but today was actually kinda bearable! Not nearly as cool as I’d like it, but 85/90 is way better than 100/110 like it has been! Happy Halloween prep! Also, I’m pretty sure I have that exact same hat! Hearing you talk about Alone makes me think of this show that was on years ago and I can’t remember the name of it but basically these people are put into a post apocalyptic neighborhood where they have to scavenge for food and clean water and shelter etc and could either work together or turn on each other to steal each other’s belongings to make it further on in the show, it was wild and I wish it was still on!
