Does anyone like when movie trailers show all the good parts of a movie, spoiling the whole thing? Most people I know don’t watch trailers anymore because of that. I wonder why so many SoT content creators use that same method at the beginning of their videos? “Coming up”: all the reason to watch this video, jammed into 30 seconds so you don’t have to bother. Isn’t that the whole point of RU-vid Shorts? To me the logic just doesn’t track, but maybe I’m not part of the Tik Tok audience that’s designed for. I dunno. 🤷🏻‍♂️ As far as I know, no one is clicking on a 17 minute Sea of Thieves video thinking, “if this isn’t absolutely amazing within the first 30 seconds, I’m fuckin’ outta here! 👿”.
