I really don't understand a word in this song, but I love listening to it! It is on repeat in my car and I listen it as loud as possible singing along! Love it
Marcell Beukman. Translation They took my love I'm in the streets making a living for her They took my love playing this song U will remember me and regret
Ngihlele namajita estrateng (English meaning: im seating with the guys on the street) ngihlanganisela yena (English meaning: im busy making plans for her) hang’mbone, hang’mbone (English meaning: i dont see her, i dont see her) ngihlele namajita estrateng ngihlanganisela yena (English meaning: im seating with the guys on the street) hang’mbone, hang’bone (English meaning: i dont see her, i dont see her) nom’ugahama uzongikhumbula (English meaning: even if you leave, you will remember me) nom’ugahama uzongikhumbula (English meaning: even if you leave, you will remember me) Bamthathile, bamthathile uloviewam’ (English meaning: they have taken her, they have taken my love) bengihlala le homie when bathatha umfasi wam’ (English meaning: i was at home when they took my woman) Bamthathile, bamthathile uloviewam’ (English meaning: they have taken her, they have taken my love) bengihlala le homie when bathatha umfasi wam’ (English meaning: i was at home when they took my woman)
So, I understand a fair bit of isiXhosa, but I'm a bit lost on the lyrics. Except it's talking about a "meeting in the streets", and "bamthathile ulovie wami" means "they've taken my lover". And I'm catching "khumbula", which means remember. Don't know about the rest, but I think it's isiZulu, so I don't feel too bad on that score. Oh yes, and "amajita" means young guys (it's isiCamtho slang).
