In this video, Mariano Rosales captures some of the highlights from this week's airshows and flight demonstrations at the 49th annual Sun 'n Fun Aerospace Expo in Lakeland, Florida.
0:38 I assume the Redbull pilot is intentionally making the plane jerk? Because he then rolls smoothly afterwards. Thinking about it, I guess it would be a showcase of skill, to demonstrate that you could "jerk" to a 45°, 180°, etc. roll. Looks like a lot of fun, thanks for the video
Just between us girls, let’s not get excited by the short take offs of them cubs and the chinook. The video doesn’t show a wind sock and without telling us the wind speed if the wind is above 10 kn every takeoff will look spectacular. Above 25 and you dont need any ground roll. There are two give aways about wind…..the American flag (for you modern progressives, that’s the one with the stripes) is fluttering….and, notice the very high angle of attack right after takeoff. That high AOL is possible only because the plane iis entering greater wind at around 20 feet. Then the pilot pitches to less AOL because wind from 50 feet and up is constant. The takeoffs are impressive but not spectacular
