Sun Outdoors San Diego Bay is a brand new resort (2021) in Chula Vista, CA. They originally named it Costa Vista RV Resort but changed the name. It has 197 RV sites and 49 Cottages. The RV sites have full hookups, accommodate rigs up to 45’ and have tables and chairs, a fire pit with 4 Adirondack chairs. The cottages are 1-2 bedroom and can accommodate up to 6 people, and some of them are bay view.

Sweetwater Bike and walking paths are new and connect to Bayfront Park which is about 1 mile from the resort. The bike path is paved with 2 lanes and the walking path is soft dirt/gravel and there were beautiful flowers all around
The Living Coast Discovery Center is right next door. It’s walking distance but they ask you to use the free shuttle which comes to the resort every 15 mins. Visiting the center is FREE (as of May 2021) for guests of the resort! We had a great visit there and loved seeing the reptiles, birds, and fish.
They have a full schedule of events with something going on nearly every day/night. On the Saturday night we were there they had a fun nighttime bike ride through the park with their bikes all lit up. I believe the resort provided the lights complimentary.
