We'll be doing #20 on Princess in December, this time on the Sun. Princess Grand was our first in '99 when she was 6 months old. We've done Sabatini's on every one of the Princess sailings, noting the changes in its layout and design as the years went by. We've always had a great experience at the restaurant - not once have we been disappointed.

Looks like the complimentary dining three levels are similar to Royal Caribbean Oasis class ship dining now, which is kind of cool. Sabatini could be a hit or miss depending on the ship, not unlike Jamie's Italian dining on RCL ship. You're probably right about Princess cruise food which are usually a tad better than many of the other popular cruise lines. Thanks for the updates and hope they gave you all a good discount on future Princess cruises due to all the venues and activities not being ready during your late inaugural cruise. I'm just hoping they get some if not all of these items fixed and ready when I'm boarding on May 11th in Barcelona which is about 9 weeks from now.😀

thanks for this breakdown. Great video and yes... I subscribed. LOL. Showing some love. Follow-up question about dining. Will Chef's table or Chef Table Lumiere be on the Sun? What about Love by Britto, Kai Sushi and Spellbound? I also ran across a mention of "hot pot" option? Is this included or does it fall under casual or specialty dining?

The last 2 times I had Sabatinis I was underwhelmed. Did you not try Catch by Rudi ? I had it on the Sky in September and thought it was phenomenal. I’m not much of a fish eater so I was very pleasantly surprised. Loving your videos. 👍

We were also disappointed in Sabatini's. But the Liso pizza and burgers were great.

Hello First time to cruise this summer and thinking of Sun Princess in Med with our 12 and 14 year old. Other option is Oceana (but maybe not much for them, although every day in a port so will be off exploring!) We love food but don’t want an upgraded food package. Felt RC Odyssey and Oasis may be too many young children…but perhaps Sun Princess likely the same?? What will suit us? Do you have a video of the teen club room? Just watched your Park 19 video, will there be charges for using or for sanctuary? thank you.

What restaurants / eating places are free on Sun Princess without paying extra??

The Reserve Dining Room is not for all Mini Suites, but for Reserve Class Mini Suites. There should not be lines there, but people do get confused and think that Reserve Class means that you can reserve a table. This caused so much confusion on our last cruise on Discovery Princess. They should change it back to Club Class.

the asian food at buffet fair.....no egg foo young either, reserve dining weeks before going or you're stuck with buffet.

We are booked to go on the sun princess on the 3rd August. We’ve gone for premier package. I’ve been trying to book speciality restaurants and I’m getting charged. Please can you help me? What do we do about that?

Thanks for showing us the food but I have a suggestion. It would be nice to be able to read everything on the menu, the focus was too blurry to see everything listed. Maybe the camera was too close to focus?

Did I hear correctly that anytime dining doesn't start until 7pm?

The old Sabbatinis food was excellent! Not a fan of the new one.

NOPE. The Sun Princess was not ready to leave dock. The cruise lines are in it for the money with additional charges and selling drinks. How are you supposed to occupy yourself without entertainment? Watching the waves? Everything on that ship should be spectacular. You're paying top end fares for a premium experience. A premium desert is not a ice cream sundae. They need actual pastry chefs that make skilled deserts. Let's get real.

Scumbags changed Pizza to be an additional charge now???? OMG are you serious?
