Part 5 of our Ocean Adventure from Kitimat BC to the San Juan Islands in the USA! Join us on glimpses of our bays and anchorages we stay in. A little piece of everything ☺️ Our 6 week vacation is almost coming to an end 🥹. You will notice we enjoying visiting as many anchorages as we can as it is hard for us to stay still! It’s just because we want to see so much in crunched time! Thanks for watching us! We are quite simple, no fancy cameras, no drones, simple editting software on our phones! Just wanting to share a bit of heaven to those who dont have the opportunity to see all this ❤️

Tough to beat Desolation sound. We loved the fact the islands in Desolation Sound have beautiful lakes. Get to enjoy both the ocean and lake environments.

Yes we love the weather and warmer waters ! The little hikes too were so nice. Just different foliage than what we have up here in Kitimat

Love all your videos, you guys do a great job. For our dogs, we carry vetwrap self-sticking bandage wrap, and vetbond, a medical superglue. We also have booties for them from Ruffwear. They are pretty protective, but don’t stay on real well if your dog is very active like ours. These do seem to be the best ones we’ve found however.

I have been enjoying your guys vacations over the last couple years nd this is totally awesome .... thinking i want to join you guys next year as the cheif cook and bottle washer as long as you hve room for this old guy ...lol..the nice part about this heat wave we have been having you guys are on the water and can jump in anytime and here in edmonton i have a blow up pool from canadian tire.hehehe .keep the great videos coming ...so jealous here

@MVSKOOKUM1 definitely! It's so beautiful and wild. You can break it up by going into Winter Harbour, Tahsis and Uclulet. We are currently in Joe's Bay and Coastal Raven and Good Hook just turned up as well. The Broken Islands are gorgeous and wild. The Bunsby's were my favourite. They are just south of Brooks peninsula.

You guys were hitting our hot spots… Copeland, Walsh Cove (where we saw you) and VonDonup which is our winter anchorage… great holding there in any weather!

My envy level is beyond the moon! This was an excellent production. I have a question: when you encounter other boats do you ever encounter “my boat is bigger than your boat” snobbery?

Thank you for the nice compliment!! Makes my hard work worthwhile! We have not encountered any snobbery. Most boaters have so many things in common , like boat repairs, places we have gone, waves/weather we have all expereinced that we all find so many things In common. Even the big yachts that are millions of dollars the couples seem so friendly and impressed with some of the places that our 40 foot has been! Sometimes I get envious when I see boats with a crew of people 🤣😂. Cooking for them, tying up the dinghy and cleaning the boat for them. Then I realize, I don’t think we would want that. We want to enjoy everything ourselves! Jen

Congratulations Grandma and Grandpa, absolutely gorgeous. Life just seems to get better and better. Apart for me of course, because I now have to go to the store and try and find a substitute for oysters. As a favour can you please extend your vacation by a few more weeks, say 6 or 7. The salt waters will be the best cure for Ranger. Thank you for all your hard work in making these.

Thank you so much! We are excited to be grandparents! A little girl 🌸. I wish we could extend our vacation lol. Work gets in the way! Derek can retire next Jan if he wants to. But for his pension the longer he stays the better. We need to make our boat more energy efficient. We need solar panels, wind turbines maybe. Then we can stay out longer without having to run the big generator $$$

in the 50's there was no marker at the end of the reef at Pirates Cove We watched as unaware boaters would hit the reef and we built a rock cairn with a pole stuck into it as a marker to warn everyone...Once you know how to get in it isn't hard ..It wasn't until years later that a proper marker was erected... l love the walk between the cove and Ruxton Pass We didn't find Brother 12's gold...but always enjoyed Pirates Cove and fishing coho in Ruxton Pass on the evening bite...and fish cakes next morning...😇

The cove is well marked now. Just we went in at a low tide! And our draft is 5 feet lol. We made it ok with no problems. 🙏. That trail is nice! We like it a lot. I wouldn’t mind finding some gold. To help pay for the boat stuff 😊🌸😀

We were up in Canada about ten days back. Sidney, Ganges and Poets Cove. Then Roche Harbor and Friday Harbor. Was hoping to cross paths with you but didn't happen. First time up in Canada in our boat. I was surprised at how easy it was to cross both borders. Customs was even polite both directions unlike the southern borders/Florida. Hate to see you going back North so soon. Maybe some day.......

We actually really liked Canada more than I expected. Less boat traffic compared to the San Juans but more Ferry traffic. Sidney was really nice. Clean and had alot to do. Will be going back although its a bit of a trip for us. 160 miles rt. Fuel is about 115 gallons at 5 bucks a gallon US or 6.90 per in Canada with the exchange, gets a little pricey to go very often.

Guys I mentioned to you about a stabilizer for your boat , there is one called Mag lift rotor stabilizer. One of the “ tubers” had it installed on his trawler. He was happy about it.

They are just taking a little break. It’s lots of work editing and making videos. Very time consuming but rewarding. They must be busy with something. I’m sure they will be back! 😊
