this page is EPIC!! hahaha 😊 i do interactive pieces all the time, and i do just a dab of glue, a dot of glue, and tack it down temporarily before glueing it down for realsies. it can be kinda overwhelming but you'll get better at it😊 i love that you are channeling your inner apfel, more is more! im sick and tired of all the grey minimalism in the world😂 couldn't be me!! when you put the diamond leaves on the branch!!!!!!!!! SO FUN! adore this page and cant wait to see what else you'll do in this journal 💘

Lovely collaging Possum Patty!I love what you are doing...tip for you...when I'm gluing, to save using extra things I use the glue stick with the lid on to smooth the item to the page,as the lid is flat..try it,it will save your wipes!love and hugs Gabrielle your UK possum peep xxx

Great collage! When I collage, I got frustrated at how the paper would buckle with glue stick, even the Uhu glue stick that a lot of collage artists use. A while back I found Luis Martin's collage RU-vid channel, @collagedream, and he uses double sided adhesive squares. I used those all the time when I did scrapbooks, but it hadn't occurred to me to use them with collage, but they don't leave bumpy messes. And, since you don't cover the paper with them, it's also easy to tuck things under after attaching. They are also (usually) removable right after you place them if you make a mistake (ask me how I know haha). Once everything is placed with them, you can either add more to the edges to stick things down, or use glue on the edges. I do a combo of placing the squares, and using "pinpoint roller Quickie Glue" for the edges/small pieces for mine. You have to hold it in place for a few seconds to get it to stick, but it works great and doesn't wrinkle either.

It looks great, yours is intertwined and layered too. I'd never heard of Iris Apfel until you mentioned her, she looked fabulous, I need to look at some YT videos about her. Love your glue book, it's really interesting. I'm doing slow stitching, little stitcheries and a scroll stitch sampler, so been watching your 'just because' books videos you did too. My latest project.

Love how you chose 8 of them as that’s your number for the year. Your pages are not only immensely creative but also so thoughtful with each and every choice. It’s not easy layering magazine images - sometimes I just put a dab of glue on the back of the images to tack them into place without fully gluing them down until I know what order to glue it .The gold border and white dots are perfect finishing touches.
