Hi everyone. Susie here from Minnesota, zone 4b and it is time for another stroll through my gardens. I was able to get some much weeding done and feel so much better about my gardens. We did have another 4 inches of rain and the mosquitoes are still relentless. Hope you can hear me. It is early morning and my neighbors have their windows open and I don't want to disturb them on a Sunday morning. Hope you enjoy!

Hey Susie, beautiful as usual! Another RU-vid person I watch was naming people who had inspired her to plant certain things. You inspired me to plant sun king aralias, petunias and geraniums from seed, and I have many hostas on a list that I want all because I saw them in your beautiful yard and had to have them! My condolences on the loss of your sister. Even though nine years have passed, I imagine there are moments when the grief is fresh. I hope your memories of plant shopping with her bring you comfort. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden with us.

Hi Susie! My rose bush is amazing this year too!! It makes me so happy. Unfortunately i have 2 trees that need to come down. $$$ as you are aware! Happy gardening!

Yeah. Trees are very expensive to take down. It is why I am only planting trees that I can remove if there is an issue. It was such a mild season that everything seems to be so much healthier. Thanks for watching

Beautiful! As a viewer I barely notice the hosta damage, as there is so much beauty. When you first told about the flood I had to check the date of your video, thought it was an old one because how could one person have such disasters so close together!! Man, you are resilient! I can’t believe it, you just bounce back time after time, good for you Susie👍 Have you ever grown cucumbers on a trellis? I’ll be planting them for the first time and realized and after reading up on them that I really don’t have the amount of room they want to sprawl so am thinking of buying a couple trellises 🤷🏻‍♀️I’m wondering if they will grow as good? I only have 2 raised beds 4’ x 8’ so they would take up one whole bed 🤦‍♀️. Thanks Susie, take care ❤️ Brenda🇨🇦ZN4

I have grown cucumbers on a trellis. They do great and they grow straight. Mine was like a metal teepee that fit a 4x4 bed. The only issue is it was a perfect spot for rabbits to build a home. I did have an arch also at the back of my garden with nylon netting and cucumbers did great on that also. I would definitely recommend growing on a trellis if you are short on space.
