looking forward to this look back on The Tear GArden Last Man to Fly album with the one and only Edward KaSpel. We'll trace the story of each song, our memories and any stories we can remember
"For those who would walk with the Gods " was my intro to Tear Garden -just the perfect compilation. Classic songs one after the other from beginning to end ...whoever put that together for the Russian market had an incredible taste, that choice of songs remains my favourite Tear Garden release till today. At the same time I purchased an incredible Subconscious compilation and the song "Geordie ,the parasite " was just post punk perfection ...that bassline along with the usual KaSpel insane delivery would remain with me for a long time -having that song on repeat till I couldn´t handle it no more . This Channel is Gold in many ways.
Hearing LMTF at age 17 ....Such an important album for myself to hear at this age as I had sat down with pen and paper to try and break my artist block I had been going through most of that summer... when Hyperform started and the first of his lyrics had been heard...it was as if a dam had crested and then the structure holding me back just broke under the sounds I was hearing... I couldnt stop the flow of my art if I wanted too after this night...
