Lately I have been focusing on having my teens develop a relationship with God. This world is dark and tough, but we have so much hope. We are only here very briefly. They fight me on going to church Sunday morning but I don’t have many rules and I’m standing firm on it because it’s so important for their well being. To know who they are on why they are here.
You are always a part of my Sunday. Typically I will wait until after I watch you to start my reset. You are doing an amazing job with your health journey. I can even tell the difference in the way that you walk. So glad to hear that your daughter decided to stick with it. No one should dull her light. Hope you have an amazing week ahead!!!

Or even give dance camp lessons to people who always wanted to dance but are too old for it and not skilled like me!! lol 😂 I would do join a fun 6-8 week class for “Twinkle toes wannabes” for peeps in their 40-50s as long as they sold fun tutus for us to put on over our regular comfy clothes and served cocktails ❤
Your daughter sounds like she has a great head on her shoulders! We went through some of the same issues with our daughter when she was in competition dance. Enjoy this senior year with her, they grow so fast. ❤

As a competitive dance momma to a senior, I know exactly how you felt. I’m so happy she chose to go back! Our daughter went through something similar 8th grade year and I pushed slightly to have her be sure it was dance she lost her passion for…or was it the studio? She did a lot of work on herself, and ultimately went back with a new perspective on dance, and she is thriving. It broke my dance mom heart hearing her walk away from it all, so happy she is still performing! 🤍 Thank you for your relaxing content! Love being a part of your journey!
Fellow dance mom here. ❤ my daughter started dance classes at three years old. Danced with a wonderful studio until senior year. Majored in dance and biochemistry at Oberlin College. Graduated and now teaches professional ballroom dance in Chicago. Your daughters dance career doesn't have to end senior year if she doesn't want it too❤

Each stage of parenting brings different obstacles and sometimes heartache. Hang in there! As a mom of a 25 year old and a teacher of 31 years myself, it is special in its own way when you get to the stage where the relationship between you and your child(ren) changes from more of a parent role to friend role. We will always be the parent and there for all things parenting, but it does change a bit and is special in it's on way. My daughter and I are very close and do so very much together. We even get to work together at the same school as she is a teacher as well. As always love your channel!
I will definitely be buying one of the fountains. I had one for my dogs. But you couldn’t find the filters anywhere. So I tried a different one. And they didn’t like it at all. The water wouldn’t stay in the top for them to drink. But m dogs drink a lot of water. And I like that a fountain has filtered water, instead of a bowl they can get so dirty. I have family until the morning visiting. So all I’m doing today is enjoying my newest great grandson. And all the adults. But I’m exhausted and will rest tomorrow. Then work on getting the house back together.

So glad your daughter found another dance studio! I understand how things can be. My daughter who is now 31, has been dancing since she was 4! Time sure flies!! She started in ballet and as she grew up and went to junior high and high school she was on the dance team at her schools. She dance all through college and is not a professional belly dancer so tell your daughter not to let other dictate how she wants to fulfill her dreams. She can do whatever she puts her mind to. :) Always love your channel!

Having four daughters we were always in the dance studio or watching them cheer as they were growing up. I really miss those days! Enjoy every single minute❤
My daughter (at 15) quit a team while we were out of state with them!! She saw something inexcusable and I was never more proud…life lesson for sure!! My Sundays are filled with my fav YT’ers and I am here for it!! TFS 💀🎃👻

Love your channel. A thought on the competition: my son is a competitive gymnast. They always compete as a team and individually. They are taught to cheer each other on (literally) because no matter which individual scores higher they are a team first. I wish it was the same in dance because it really spurs them on to do better ❤

We had one in our old house so we didn’t have to keep the door open all the time. Maybe something to think about. Hello Tiffany, Kuddos to your daughter for not letting that owner hold her down! It’s actually an excellent life lesson for her. Shame on women like that, no wonder some women can’t lift others up, not a good example! I have a daughter & it’s HARD watching them navigate this type of stuff. 😢 We have a water fountain like that & we keep it on the back porch for the birds here in Texas it is hot & they love it!
I have had granite for 14 or more years. I like it I typically don’t cut on it and put hot pans, that is just me tho. I have not had problems with staining. The lighter the granite the more porous it is. Mine has a lot of movement so to speak. When we purchased ours it needs to be sealed every year which I am over a year behind. It isn’t hard just wipe counters down and wipe the sealer on. It is just clearing your counters, you know one of those things. My son and DIL put in granite a few years ago and it is sealed period I suppose. Don’t need to seal it every year. We have granite coming for our bathroom vanity this week so need to ask about the sealing .😊 Congrats to your daughter for taking charge of her destiny I suppose you could say. Go Mikaela!!
Being a teenager is so hard. It sounds like you’re doing a great job as a parent and have raised a confident young woman. I hope she continues to enjoy dance. I have a 2 year old boy and am 37 weeks pregnant with my daughter and I dread the thought of them going through all of the hard parts of being a teenager/junior high/high school. It’s part of life though and all we can do is raise them to be confident and stand for what’s right. ❤
I went through ALL that and more with my daughters in dance, especially the older one. Eva LaRue from CSI was my daughters' first dance teacher. Down the line, there was a breakup of a studio over one incident and people went various ways, we to the new studio where the owner forced my daughter's leg in a position and popped it out of socket. Leg brace for 6 weeks. But out of it, my daughter danced in the movie Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze, was in several musicals, and became a dance teacher herself, the only one in the studio whose 2 yr olds knew their routine every time! Such a great teacher. Not sure I'd do it again, however. Lots and lots of egos involved and the moms can be the worst.
Your hair always looks so fabulous! What shampoo are you loving? Awe, so bittersweet your daughter is a senior now. My oldest out of 4 children is turning 14 this year and my youngest is turning 3. 😭
I meant to tell you on your last video but life got in my way…anywho…I also have a black interior in my car and I keep a swifter feather duster thing in my driver door. When waiting for my kidos at practice or running errands it’s easy to run this over the dash and clean up the ugly dust that always collects there.
One more comment...ha...regarding the counters. We had granite for years, it stains badly. Grease from the stove especially, even if you clean it right away, granite is just porous. We upgraded to quartz, it's amazing. So durable, non porous, we love them. We may have just had bad luck or not a good seal in our granite, I'm just telling you our experience so when you start looking you can ask about the porous nature of granite
Tiffany, you can put the stove grates and pieces in the dishwasher. I’ve tried it and pretty happy with the results 😊 My experience with my granite is that you cannot cut on it or put hot things on it. Lol I seriously felt lied to. I recently had my granite resurfaced because of some chips and water spots and learned the following: many granite countertops are actually a mix with quartz or quartzite so be careful and informed what you choose, you shouldn’t use any cleaning products only dish detergent because it is a porous surface and, never leave lemon juice or vinegar on the surface.
We've had granite at 5 places we have lived, and have been super happy with them each time. We have also had quartz, Corian, wood, and fomica (we've lived in 20 places in 32 years of marriage). My favorite is granite.
Those teenage years are so hard. I don’t know if it’s harder to actually go through them, or to watch your babies go through them. Either way, it’s a wild ride!

My daughter went through a similar experience her Junior year. Unfortunately that meant she dropped out of choir and band her Senior year . Sad when adults make decisions that hurt these young people. She is 29 now and owns her Therapy business. She is strong and learned from those experiences
I love my granite countertops. I cut on them, put anything on them. However, don’t get dark granite! You can’t tell if it’s clean or not. Every grain of salt shows up.I despise dark granite!
Nooooo please don’t go darker in the kitchen it’ll make it feel smaller and dark. I learned that the hard way. I would recommend testing it with contact paper first before committing to it.
