Hi Melissa really liked this video. Could you do a video on how to tie all routines together. Like daily tasks, weekly tasks, monthly deep cleaning. Some sort of idea ....would be great for working moms. You should write a book about cleaning...
A book about cleaning? I think I have one! That being said, we are shooting this week and a task video is a great idea! I'll pass it onto the production team. Thanks for the comments!
My robot pick would have to be one that cleans the toilet! Mine is swished daily, so it really isn’t that bad, I just dislike cleaning it! As to the bathroom floor, I used to clean it as you do, but age has prevented that now. Love your channel! This 72 year old has learned so much from you, but I think my favorite, besides the 3 Wave system, has to be the S pattern for cleaning. What a game changer!
You're still showing up in my feed. You must have good algorithms. Saturday reset for me today. I do need to wash my sheets, but I need more money for my laundry card. I got to do one load of laundry today.
That’s kinda of a goal, but I go to my walk to run early on Saturday and run errands. I feel so lazy on Saturday afternoons, but Sunday seems to work better for more cleaning.
I'm glad my video could provide you with the motivation you needed! Once you start and do it regularly other things seem easier! Let's get this done together and thanks for tuning in! Melissa
I also clean my bathroom floor by hand. There are some small corners at least in my bathroom and flat mop could not enter them so it is easier to do it by hand. Besides, I believe that the pressure on stains is harder with hand than by mop, when we actually stand.
Hehe thank you. This channel is so great, so colorfull and so attractive to watch. Makes you want to clean immediately! Nice weekend for entire cms team! @@cleanmyspace
Thank you so much. It is a number of years old and we purchased it from Restoration Hardware, but believe they stopped this style long ago. I think they call that an antique now?
I clean the bathroom floor on my knees aswell. That way i can see all the dirty spots and hair better. I need a friendly robot for my laundry. I have four boys and it is my least favourite job to do 😅
Love this video! Starting today (Sunday). And btw, caught the cake plate on your nightstand - what a great idea for my one lonely unused cake plate. 👍🏻👍🏻
I use a car sponge to clean my bathroom floor one side has a mesh but both sides are microfiber. And I boil my water and use Lysol to clean my floors. I do like the all purpose diy but Lysol and bleach when needed just smells clean
Because i look fwd to the weekend i do Fri. Chores and Sat. Night chores so things don't pile up. I leave all the washing for Mon. (Unless it's for i.e. something/someone special to wear) The robot could do loads of washing Monday! 😅
I do my bathroom floor by hand, too. It's not much surface area, and reaching into the nooks and corners around the sink and toilet is easier by hand. Chorebot would clean the toilet.
Question...I use paper towels to wipe down my toilet, however there seems to be static on the exterior of the toilet and the stuff still sticks to the toilet. Why? And how do I change that.
If there was a cleaning robot when it comes to general cleaning, I would need it for dusting and cleaning various things and surfaces that I don't clean regularly, so I wouldn't have to worry about missing something, but when it comes to everyday duties, I would like it to be the robot cleaned the dishes and the kitchen for me because it's the place where mess appears most quickly.
I'm not sure how I feel about cleaning the bathroom floors by hand, I've been trying it! I think at this time I prefer getting in there with the Dyson stick vacuum and again with my microfiber mop. Our bathrooms are small and we don't have children yet so once-a-week I can't say they're that dirty so I'd prefer not to get down hands and knees and this time 😂
No! Proper compost bags that hold to the container and monthly hot water and Dawn soap and a WIPE DRY will keep you compost smelling neutral. Thanks for watching! Melissa
My washer/dryer is downstairs so my robot would rotate the laundry muktipke times a day. I used to do all floors on my knees but the knees said 'no more'.😢
Chore bot would dust for me. I can't stand having to move things to dust or having to do high things or the idea that I'm kicking it down on other things to dust before hitting the floor... I'm hoping an air purifier will help at least with the worst room in the house.
I am so glad i saw someone clean their bathroom floor by hand. It is so much quicker and easier. And you know how much cleaner it is. I clean my baseboards at the same time.
thank goodness for the internet, stuff like this is something my parents never taught me how to do and i felt a little overwhelmed trying to figure it out by myself. if i could have a chore-bot do something for me, it would have to be either cleaning my shower or putting away my laundry! i'm chronically ill and if i stand up for too long i start to feel really faint and sore, so having that help would be game-changing.
@@cleanmyspace interestingly, only HALF of Melissa made up the 16 minutes total of lay scrolling. Was moved to get Sunday reset started on a Saturday. Thank you as usual. You rock.💜
SO glad that you use different cloths for the bathroom countertops & the sink! It grosses me out when people use the same cloth, especially when they wipe the sink first! UGH! Bathroom floor washed by hand works too. You can clean the baseboards at the same time. AND thanks for washing your gloves! I’m such a germaphobe!🤪
I'd like a robot to fold and put away my laundry. Apparently it's a task I HATE bc theres constantly piles of clean laundry all over the place. It's too boring and I don't like the way the fabric feels when it runs across my fingers, so I set it aside for "later" and then they just never get actually put away. Laundry Putter-Awayer Robot for me please.
I know everybody has different cleaning routines… I’m someone who just likes to blitz things. I will actually spend three hours on a weekend cleaning and then I don’t have to do much throughout the week. Probably the least used cleaning routine …. Lol.
Three hours of cleaning on the weekend to avoid doing much during the week? Sounds like the ultimate cleaning hack! Who wants to clean when you can chill, right? Maybe this video could cut your time down to 2.5 hours? Thanks for tuning in!
If I had a cleaning robot it would definitely be kitchen cleanup for me. I cook so much and dishes are hard to keep up with. I'm on autopilot with the bathrooms so that's not as big a deal. The kitchen is the second thing everyone see when walking into the house.
I used to work for seniors cleaning. And I would clean the floors on my hands and knees. To seemed to get a better clean! I don't do it anymore but hmmmm. 🤔. If there was a robot. I'd say mopping. And vacuuming. I know there's one already. 😊
Hey pretty Melissa, thanks for sharing your routine and the reminder, that good enough is the state to strive for! Also, Chads cameo in the bathroom mirror was cute 😂 My robot would have to make the trash plus everything disgusting disappear, plus clean himself afterwards. Could you give some tips for that topic maybe? How to clean out trashcans if the bag leaked and made a mess, without throwing up? Also for pet owners, how to best and easy treat the messes they can make, also if you don’t discover it immediately..? And yes, it’s always on the carpet.
Also as you guys absolutely are experts: lately I had a discussion Wheatley to clean the lint immediately after the dryer is done, because it removes easier if it’s not completely dry and set yet (just as food on a plate), or to wait till it’s cooled off so the plastic netting that catches it doesn’t deform and wear out. Thanks! Your 3-waves have absolutely changed my life!
Chorebot: dishes. I hate them and my husband usually does them but not always before bed and I do really enjoy having a clean sink in the morning. Such is life though!
Good Friday Afternoon Mrs "Chad" Melissa Maker. Yeah, you landed a strong, handsome husband, something I don't see many/any American college miseducated women doing these days - are you familiar with the "Passport Bros"? Hey Mellisa M - this is Jaye Left behind in Chicago. I m a subscriber, I LOVE Your instructional videos - have you considered expanding in to advice videos in other subjects like helping young, high IQ women find a BF, keep one, land a husband? I think you should. Back to cleaning. I'm s tennis player on clay outdoor courts. I often were "Tennis Whites". I have a problem in the Left front pocket where I keep a spare green died tennis ball. After regular and special spot cleaning (your pre washing tips) I have a orangie stay that doesn't come out. It's kind of strange to have orange stain from keep a green died tennis ball in the pocket, but that's what I have. Do you have any tips? Thank you Mrs Melissa.
We are currently shooting a video to help with your knees! End of the week launch! Hope that helps. If you are mopping, you are doing it right! Whatever works for you! Thanks for watching. Melissa.
As long as the bathroom floor is about the same size as the one you were doing or smaller I am fine with cleaning the floor by hand, but anything larger like our master bathroom I am not doing by hand. It would not be an efficient use of my time. I think I would like a robot that dusts for me. ☺️ Great video, thank you!
I used to. Now at 62 with arthritis, I cannot get on my knees nor can I squat as I can barely pull myself up 😢 the best I can do us bend over which really bothers my back. So girls, enjoy your flexibility and strength while you have it.
I feel quite good after seeing this. We have 2 main clean days in our house. Tuesday and Fri. The floors get hoovered and mopped, the bathroom gets done top to bottom, sheets get changed 1 of those days. In between we do general kitchen and bathroom bits like cleaning surfaces and the loo daily. Once a month all the floors get steamed as do all the doors and kitchen cabinet doors. The skirting get a wipe down. It's taken a long time to get to this routine with my disabilities. We have windows washed mo they as well and the garden is mowed 2 weekly. We do other bits like my bedroom/sitting room floor mopping daily as I have dogs. It's also been known for my sheets to be changed 3 times a week.
It's only this organised because my son is my main carer. Before this I was lucky to clean my floors each month. At one point it was a few months of non cleaning them because I couldn't physically cope with them
You are so lucky that you can bend, squat, and kneel. If I could do those things, I could do my cleaning at least 5 times faster. I'd love a robot that could clean my tub, shower, and the outside of my toilet. I can't bend like you so wiping down the surfaces after I shower isn't physically possible. And getting the outside of the toilet is near impossible.
I would want to have my shower🚿 washed down twice a week. I hate soap scum build up around the bottom I enjoy cleaning,(clean house clean mind) but the 🚿shower 🙄 back aches.
What do you do with all the microfiber towels and such that are to be reused? Do you throw them into the washing machine right away and wash them separately? Leave them to dry somewhere and then put them with the rest of the laundry? I find I always lose my microfiber cloths 🐒
I'm at that age where everywhere is hard on my knees. What do you think of Swifter sweepers? For me it's something I can use so I'm not hurting my knees.
