I am in love with this razor, it feels so good. I try to use all of my razors, but none of them, and I mean NONE compete with the Rockwell 6s. The Rockwell 6s is like meditation to me, it creates a zen moment whenever I use it. It is near perfection.

Been DE shaving since I was 13 or so! The Rockwell 2C chrome was the first decent de razor I bought a few years back and I’ve been using the art of shaving cream pre shave oil and after shave balm. I’ve since upgraded to a Henson which I love and prefer the feel of the Henson with the astra greens. Now I’m trying a shaving soap coming soon since I trust my lather technique enough with the cream.

Stirling soaps are my favorite, they’re awesome.

I have the 6c and it is amazing! Bolzano and Nacet are amazing with it! My favorite razor on plate 5 is my number for head and face shaves!

I have a Rockwell 6c and I love it. Setting 3-4 works fine for everyday shave.. I use setting 1-2 for shaving against the grain under my nose.. No other razor i tried can do that without blood

Hi Ken! Glad you got a Rockwell man...! Was my first DE a couple years ago, and really great choice for me to start with. The 6S is a terrific razor I enjoy using, and the flexibility of plates is sweet. You appear to have the skin and beard coarseness I do, and the 3-plate is a good choice for a couple days growth with 3 passes. 1-2 passes (or more growth), you may want a 4-plate. The information I got wasn't clear on plate aggression, so, first time out I did a feather on plate 6! Dayum. Never did that again 😬...

I have the white chrome 6C, and it's a great razor. I wasn't crazy about the blades thought. Nice shave Ken! 👍💈

What I like about my Rockwell 6S is the flat finish and knurling, which give it a great grip. I can hold it with wet, soapy hands and still have a firm grip.

Congratulations on 4,000 subscribers Ken! Love Stirling products and the only stainless razor that I have is the Feather AS-D2 which I would highly recommend as it is very mild yet extremely efficient.

The best razor I have. My second best the merkur 34g ( or 34c gold) you show accidentally. I like the after shave, the truefitt & hill sandalwood but for pre shave i prefer the red proraso. Very nice video. Continue like this Ken. I'll keep watching

I enjoy the videos of yours. Ive forged and used my own blades to shave with for many years. Started as a way to test my blades sharpness, and I just enjoyed it so much I decided to try some more nostalgic ways to shave. Your videos have already cost me some money in the way of things i had to try lol. Im picking up a Rockwell and noticed some reviews on them rusting. For those who are looking into getting one, ignore these reviews to a point. A bead blasted finish, even on stainless, can cause them to rust more easily. It essentially opens the poors/grain of the steel, and allows moisture to accelerate oxidation. Clean the razor after use and treat it like you would a dovo or other carbon steel straight blade. A light rub of razor oil and you'll likely never see rust.

Great shave ken. I loved the Diehard reference. Not too keen on the Rockwell blades though. They pulled & tugged alot but I never tried them in a Rockwell razor though.

I have the 6C and love it. The Rockwell blades are ok and I’ll still use them, but the razor pairs great with an Astra SP. Give that a try!

You are correct. Whatever number you see when the razor is assembled is the setting.

Nice video Ken, I love my 6s and I’m glad that you enjoyed it as well. Most folks aren’t big fans of the Rockwell blades (me included) - put one of your favorites in there and take it for a spin!

I find my 6C too be very mild even on a higher setting but its also more forgiving with sharper blades.It's a very nice razor and Stirling soaps along with PAA are steller.Keep em coming Ken 🤙

rockwell blade 3 is great , yes you have to be able to see the number on the back , merkur futur is very nice but yes under the nose is a problem , there for I use the river lake magnetic razor , very nice also called SNMIRN , regards robert

Great shave as always especially with the excellent performance of the Rockwell 6S on your face. The 6S has its budget cousin which is the 6C which is half the price of the 6S. Nothing much else to say, have a good day

Ordered my Rockwell 6s yesterday (Saturday) on Amazon and it came today, in time for a late morning shave. Im very excited.

I have the rockwell 6C ( gunmetal version ) and also rockwell R1 ( TTO razor ) both very great , and mild , I use base plate 2, regards robert , my vanilla sandalwood is going to arrive next week , with other scents from wonderful sterling , thanks for description .

Congrats on 4K Ken! My first acquisition was the Rockwell 6c(chrome). Haven’t used it yet. I liked it so much I ended up getting the 6s as well which I haven’t used either. Lol A case of S.A.D.(shavers acquisition disorder). That vanilla sandalwood combo is nice isn’t it? Have a safe and wonderful holiday weekday.

I have the 6c gunmetal finish. I know a lot of people like this razor but it's not one of my favorites (Parker 26C and Gillette black beauty are my favorites) but when I use it I use the 2/4 base. I tried the 1/3 base and found it too mild. It's on setting 3 if you can see the 3 on the bottom. The 6C is half price of the 6S and the 2C is about 20 bucks less than the 6C but you only get the 1/3 base.

Awesome shave Ken! Eager for the Canadian shave! I have a 6S and a 6c very similar the two. I prefer the handle of the 6s it is far better. The feel is similar otherwise. I on occasion mix the plates a chrome plate in the SS or viseversa.

you should read the instructions , setting 3 is when you see the number on the base plate , greetings , I have also the twist to open version , also great razor in gunmetal finish

You're right. I just shaved with it yesterday and in the middle of my shave, I actually did try the Merkur but just put it back down as the Rockwell was so good, I'm not sure if I will be going back to other fixed "limited" ones!

Hey Ken, I have the 6c and with a Voskhod blade, is a superb shave.

Recently I bought. No 3 is good to my shave. When I use Muhle blade it’s fantastic classic smooth shave. But blade bit costly. It is ok five shave for my face.

Question why are you shave or a double edge razor you need to keep your hands light and let the razor do the work or are you pressing down? I’m asking so I can make sure I have proper technique when I shave with that double edge razor Thank you so much. Good review as always

I bought this razor in gunmetal and I absolutely love it. They have a Model T that's going to be and dial adjustable razor that's going to be released in August. I prepaid $99 just so I could get one of the first ones. It kind of looks like a Gillette Fatboy but longer. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Hey Kensurfs, could we possibly categorize razors such as the Rockwell 6S as "MPS ADJUSTABLES"? (Meaning, Multi-Plate System Adjustable.) i do not like saying "Interchangeable Base Plates", myself. it is cumbersome and awkward, like Reality TV.
