Bradley, really enjoyed hearing your impressions. I actually wrote the blog you cite on the background of Katerini Perique. You need to watch The Thomas Crown Affair (1999 version with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo). It's a must-see, especially for you. By the way, you're the first person I've heard speaking the word "Rimboché" but with the acute accent (é), wouldn't it be "RIM-boh-SHAY"? I know you're a stickler for the proper use of language and I'm wondering which is correct? Another top-notch video. Love the seaside setting.

That's all the same varietals that he used in his signature series a year and a half or so ago. All the tins had brightly colored birds on them.

The Birds of a Feather series. I had one with Rustica as a component, but I can't remember if it had normal Katerini. This is definitely my first blend with Katerini PERIQUE though.

Two of the six Birds of a Feather blends included Katerini Perique-Uno and Anomalous. The Pipe Force series was conceptualized around Stoved Katerini and Stoved Rustica, which is the first time these varietals have been processed in this way. Each of the Pipe Force blends contain either Stoved Katerini or Stoved Rustica (some both), but neither stoved variations were ingredients in Birds of a Feather blend. Pipe Force II is the only from this series to feature Katerini Perique.

If you feel like you've tasted all there is to taste in non-aromatic tobaccos why not branch out and try some of the rather iconic and uniquely singular Lakeland style blends like 1792 Flake or War Horse Bar? I'd sure like to see reviews on those!
