Whilst my partner watched Masterchef, I feasted on the latest episode from Sanderstead. Not much chortling from her side of the room! Really enjoyed all the puns, bootage, Derek's attempts at cricket and a opposition bowler, who reminded me of Alistair Simm in Dickens A Christmas Carol. Keep up the good work, as always!

Loved that. Sunday cricket in true Sunday cricket spirit- fun all round! Highlights for me: 1) Milan with the most casual one hand Sunday cricket catch! 2) the laughing loop-de-loop bowler from the oppo- that laugh is awesome! 3) Luca’s exciting batting after he hit his eye in. The youngsters batted well. 4) Derek. Keeping cars safe with his safe batting 5) Harris. Umpiring, beer in hand- true Sunday cricket umpiring in my book.😅 6) Lord Edward stats. Amazing story about his father born 1865! Lived through part of Queen Victoria’s reign and Charles Dickens was still alive back then. The drastic changes in the world that his father must have witnessed are mind boggling. Incredible.

The white haired bowler taking it more seriously than everyone else (whoever said Alastair Sim in A Christmas Carol had me rolling 😂) - definitely the type to exaggerate his wickets in the pub! I know a bloke who fathered a child aged 81. His wife was 50 and was previously his carer after his first wife died. He passed away about 10 years ago aged 95. Very sad really. Never got to see his daughter graduate high school or anything like that. I mean his wife giving birth at almost 51 is something! There is a chance in say 2090 that Alice will one day be able to talk about her father born about 170 years earlier. So long ago it will feel like another age. These things do happen, but they have to be really rare. (No - he wasn't particularly wealthy). He was also a cricketer until his late 70's, and played at a half decent standard well into his 60's before just turning out for the Sunday casuals in his last 10 years of playing. Watched almost every Saturday and Sunday game right till the end. God bless Bob. I sit on your bench and drink a pint in your memory from time to time.

Hi Dan I was just wondering what your opinion is of the use of Gopro cameras on the pitch during matches. I have seen more and more videos of batsmen wearing a helmet cam while batting and find it hard to believe that it is allowed. I would have thought that there is a dangerous element to this as if the camera were to be hit by the ball, it could cause injury to either the batsman or fielding side at WK or slip. Just wondered what your take is of this.
