Hey, that's great that these amps can do full rated power at 12 volts... but I'm more interested in a charging system that can put out a rock solid 15.8 volts regardless of the drain on it.
Omg those are so awesome!!! Someday I’ll get there lol !!! I’m still trying to get a second dc audio level 2 lol I been wanting to try sundown as well but kids and wife come first !!! Thanks for the informative videos man I love it !!!!
I got the Salt 3k, wondering why they don't have built in fans? Holding this amplifier, it is definitely a beast!!! Hoping I have the electrical to support it, it is very efficient so I should be Ok with my 240 amp alternator, and (1)XS3400. Going to be pushing (2) Skar VXF 12's.
Price im trying to understand why u feel a salt 8k at 1 ohm is a perfect match for 2 sundown zv6 im a noob n just don’t want to blow my subs. Would it b matter for me to run a salt 6 at 1ohm
i think they dropped the ball on the 4k in regards to power connections, that thing puts out way more than 4000W and you only get a single 1/0 connector? probably going to have to buy those adapters to connect 2 runs of 1/0 to positive and ground..... i mean you step up from the 4k to the 6k and now you get 3 1/0 connectors??
Amplifiers are getting more efficient in newer developments so amplifiers are not needing as many 1/0 ports anymore, but having multiple connectors does help with current, you can run a single run of 1/0 or thicker with machined adapters with a single 400amp fuse and it will be just fine, you won't ever see that 5 or 6,000watts shown in test bench setups in a actual setup on continuous power in the vehicle because once you count in impedance rise and voltage drop the power will very between that highest and lowest the amplifier will do of course using dual 1/0 machined adapters has been proven to help a bit so they won't hurt. The reason the other amps have 3 sets of 1/0 ports is because that higher power will require more runs of wire to handle the high 800 to 1500amps (depending on the bigger amps) of current being drawn.
Hey Jp, im having an internal debate and id appreciate your input. Is it better to get 2 salt 8ks or 1 salt 12? I currently have 4 Team FI subs wired at a final 1 ohm load. So if i were to get the 8ks they'd be strapped at half ohm each. The total cost would be about the same. Thoughts?
Selling my 2 NS1's and my 2 Taramps 8k's so I can buy a SALT amp. Correct me if I'm wrong, but with SALT's ability to create massive power at 12v won't that save people money on electrical?
I have a x15v3 would you recommend I run a salt 3 on it and I plan on adding another dual 2 ohm x15v3 can I run 2 salt 3 one on each sub and gain match them because it says strapped no lower than 2 ohm and 2 2ohm would be 2 ohm or half ohm what would ya do?!!
what kind of speaker terminal does the skar ix8 have i plan to buy that one from your website and the terminal looks easier to hook up and what ohms should i get 2 or 4
Hey man not related to this but I have a question and I can’t find any answers anywhere, maybe you might know. So I just got my second sub and I got the same as my first sub but it’s a 2 ohm dvc and my amp can’t go to .5 ohms and I want lower than 2 ohms, what would happen if I wired them like svc subs to 1 ohm? Or would that ruin them... thanks for any help
Xxx tentacion Your only lowest impedance choices for Two 2ohm dvc subwoofers is 0.5ohms or 2ohms, you cant do 1ohm with a pair of 2ohm subs, if you wanted 1ohm as a final impedance you will either need dual 1ohm subs or dual 4ohm subs. You dont wanna wire only one side of dual voice coil subwoofers the output will be much lower and it can damage the voice coil since 2 of the 4layers of the coil will get hotter than the other 2layers.
@@seankiesling2054 What would you recommend electrical wise. I believe my electrical is pretty strong but I could be wrong. If your response is close to what I have ill have a good basis of how to proceed. I really appreciate the feedback
Most of the time the rating means minimum continuous power it can do, depending on voltage and impedance rise the actual power output will be more or less than whats rated.
Lol!!!! So these are supposed to be the answer to Orion's HCCA amplifiers huhhh. Very interesting😎👍😂 Cause we all know Sundown was never for running there amplifiers at anything less than 14.4 volts or higher. They pride themselves on running at high ass voltage. Still gotta say though those amplifiers look amazing damn. I see you sundown.....
Yeah I've been hearing about them since like December I'm curious to still learn amplifier circuits. Would be curious to see what sets these apart from other similar amps. Either way, would love to get my hands on a couple of these one day...btw that's a neat lil tool (lighted driver) that JPs got, it's about time somebody came out with that. JP beat me to the punch on that one. Damnit boi, why didn't I think of that, D'oh...
I would like you to upload a video with the song “The hills" from the weekend in the neo heo and greetings from México like if you want yo see the bass demo❤️ like if you want the bass demo
There will literally be no noticeable difference in total power output between the C7-4k and SALT 4k probably like 2% difference because of circuity wear and tolerances between both models, I had the C7-4k and i got 6,700watts in a actual setup not on a test bench. But of course its all preference.
@@MazdaBass971 yea they seems to be pretty much the same. Haha 6k outta the c7-4k is crazy power I wonder if I can get a aftermarket bass knob that has a clipping indicator. Other that the ctsounds one I've seen.
Motivation RO if you set the levels properly once then you wont ever need a clipping light. Another good clipping indicator is your nose, if you smell the subs turn the levels down a bit and best of all its free!
