The problem is Sundowns paid Pitso in advance for duration of the contract to the region of R8.6 million, before even 3 months into the contract Al Ahly came knocking and Patrice game his blessing for Pitso to sign with Al Ahly. The Agent had to payback the money paid in advance because Pitso didn't serve the full term of the contract but only 2 months. That's the issue, it's not complecated as everyone makes it to seem.
My man that's the main issue. This scenario is copy of Zwane at Chiefs but vice versa chiefs could not terminate Zwane contract because that would be a bridge of contract agreement that he will coach for three years if chiefs terminated his contract or fire him they would have ended up settling that three year amount but if Zwane decides to leave the Chiefs they do not need to pay that three years no one owes any one anything unless if Zwane was given advanced payment for maybe two years then chiefs is entitled to get the refund of the months paid for but never worked for, Yes Sundowns they really don't need that money but it's a matter of principle, period. Who on earth at that level signs a contract he did not read, really? Yes he exercised his clause of when good offer arise would be released and he was released but then again termination of contract takes away the package of full contract terms. One can't work for 2 days and resign with an advanced payment of ten years. And he also bridged same contract terms by tapping the personnel of Sundowns though the resign with immidiate effect but the fact is it was clear who encouraged it. Pitso actually wanted to do maximum damage when he left.

Anyway, theres a clause in the contract that says if its terminated prematurely then he must pay back the remaining term which was paid to him in advance. You are directing the conversation to your favor. A contract was signed with terms and conditions. Why would you sign it if it was irrelevant? Because the coach chose to leave, what does the contract say. We are biased.
You can't have it both ways, if you want the contract annulled, give back the money then, some people are greedy and love to play victim. Pitso is seasoned, he had demands whilst at bafana and he is not an up and coming coach who's naive on a business side, he has no legal standings
It's better to read what is the case about than just going for clicks,the case is about the 2nd contract in which sundowns paid bonuses upfront to pitso hoping that he will win the cups till 2019 and he didn't serve that contract and that Money must be paid back

There is no such thing as being pressured, a high profile coach like Pitso who has an Agent should know better than that, one reads a contract before one sign it that's a fact,unless he himself was desperate and was looking at the package, and now a better offer comes now he resigns being paid in advance not even having worked for 5months. If Sundowns broke the agreement and fired him yes they are supposed to pay in full but now it's the other way round he has to pay back the balance and maybe keep the one for months he worked for that's plain and simple. The thing is some people here comment without using common sense. If agreement says one works for 5years and the employer says well then I'll pay you that 5years in advance and all of a sudden becouse now money clocked on your account in two weeks now you'll decide no I have a better offer ofcourse you need to repay the advance you were given since you have a better offer somewhere, Sundowns didn't broke the agreement Pitso himself broke the agreement. Now how can a coaches also be taken serious when they sign today and resign tommorrow? Pitso cannot take the money he did not work for and this goes for anyone anyway. I see him paying for all the costs incurred in this case because he definitely is going to loose that case.

My man contracts are there to be honoured regardless. In a proffesional setup your contract binds you. If you sign a three year contract you have to be there for the duration of your contract any clubs runs a bussiness it even goes further depending on ones contract if the club gets a satisfying offer can release you and if not you serve plain and simple. Pitso was allowed to break his contract agreements so having got paid in advance it's only fair he pays back the months he did work for no hussles. That's how the real world works.
