Seeing their chemistry on screen Twinkle got unsecured knowing the reputation Akshay carried at that point that of a Casanova. It is simple . Akshay was getting more money outside SD’s banner than with SD . Why can’t SD increase / matched the ‘new’ offers of Akshay ? . I’m sure things would have solved with that BUT money is everything and I won’t blame Akshay here. Also with the arrival of corporates in 2003-5 all these actors have become unaffordable. 1CR-2CR was asking 5-10 times more than that after corporate culture.

I absolutely agree with the statement regarding them aping Hollywood and killing off Bollywood music. If we in the west want to watch a Hollywood style movie we will watch a Hollywood movie… we would watch a Bollywood movie for being a Bollywood type movie.. the music (main factor)/dance/romance/drama.

I remember when I got cast in Sunil ji Talaash and when I was cast then by the producer Pahlaj nihlani ji and then Sunil was a very aloof director And when I was tricked into doing Awara pagan diwana by the bad producer F Nadiawala I had huge fight with him and then Sunil sherry who was friend actually sided with bad producer F Nadiawala. This shows nothing is permanent in this world. Suneel and Akshay were really close at one point of time. Many a times, Akshay chooses to keep his mouth shut to avoid conflict, while the other person doesn't back down from washing dirty linen in public. Sorry to say but Suneel Darshan is actually a D Grade Movie director. He hasn’t made a single movie which has stood the test of time or which has any repeat value or any quality attached to it. All of his movies are of extremely poor quality. Some have good music but that’s about it. Akshay Kumar probably realised this and decided to move which was absolutely the right thing to do otherwise he would have never worked with the likes of Neeraj Pandey or Priyadarshan etc. Infact Akhshay worked mainly with new or unaccomplished directors.

I was requesting this one for so long from my other accounts & atlast we got to experience it...But I genuinely think he sud have replaced PC with Lara & kept Akshay, Katrina nd finished tht movie at that point of time, Bobby was a gud actor but he was a disaster as a Solo hero at tht point of time, also with pc there was literally no chemistry!! And I thot humko deewana kar gaye was his project too, don't know wht happened in that front as well...But problem is making a 90's style 2 hero musical projects won't be easy in today's time because Heroes asks for too much of money & finding 2 established hero to be a part of a project for a rom com wid be very very difficult....But I genuinely hope this happens because U can't get box office hit with newcomers very easily in today's time!! Untill the music,location & dreamy Disney backgrounds take ur watching experience to a different level...I hope he succeds in doing so!
