❤ WHAT CAN I SAY JADEL? I'M IN TEARS OVER HERE. I FELT YOUR FRUSTRATION THROUGHOUT THIS ONE AND THEN YOU PROVED TO US JUST THIS ONE GREAT LESSON.... *KEEP GOING AND NEVER GIVE UP, BECAUSE THERE'S GONNA BE SOMETHING EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL IN THE END* THANK YOU FOR SEEING IT THROUGH. WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS.... "LINE IT IN GOLD"!❤❤❤ HAVE A GREAT DAY ON PURPOSE!❤
Its perfect! The gold DID bring it further to life. :-) Sometimes I look at my pieces for days before I decide they need a tweak. THEN I love them. Great job! I'm always inspired by your trials and tribulations :-)
You’re not a quitter and you rocked with it all the way to the end to create a beautiful sunflower!! Well done my friend💛🤎💛. I think it’s also comforting to share that we are not alone when we have those times when we struggle with the process to create the vision. Many, many times my end result doesn’t match my vision, instead I end up with a totally new design that was better than the original one I was going for😃. The joy of art❤️❤️❤️
@@JaDeLRocks, so while I took my walk I was thinking that you did so much work texturing the petals that you can no longer see. Would it be possible to paint all the petals and then texture and outline what is left showing? It would save quite a bit of work. What do you think?
I think there are shortcuts you could take like omitting the brown outlines for sure. The swooshy things though… hmmm 🤔 I tell ya what you could do… just do the swoosh on the ends of the petals as you go? I was thinking it too but was digging the texture it brought. It looked a lot like crepe paper? Like streamers? But.. it felt like I was wasting work in a way. If you wait until the end it’s possible the swooshes will hit the petal on top of it. But… the gold trim might clean that up. Lol, sorry I’m typing as I think which means I’m rambling 😂😂 I think it’s possible 🤗@@denisehowie3716
Pretty, pretty, pretty, with a whole BUNCH of pretty petals! Patience is a requirment for artists, and you've got plenty of that. Your sunflower design is lovely. 🤩
JaDel!!!! You had me going on this one girl! I’m sayin’ “Yes” …. and then “No” … and “Yes” … and “No”!! I felt like a Yo-Yo!! But you always manage to pull it all together in the end. It’s your artistic instinct and I love that you show us everything and let us learn the lessons we need to learn. Love you lady!!!!
Very cool, JaDeL- and good for you for staying with the piece! I, too have tried multiple times to perfect a sunflower. Each time I try I'm not very happy with the results. I've tried dotting them and I've tried using regular paint brushes. I love the gold outlines of the petals- I will absolutely try that- I agree that the brown seems to be too harsh... or something. 😂🤷🏻♀️ Happy Sunday to you 🌻☕💖🎨💫
Thanks Dawn.. it’s so weird right? The flower looks so simple. Lol, I think I just make it more difficult than it needs to be. I just wanted to see if by using my dotting tools with dots, petals, swooshes, etc. if I could bring out a masterpiece. I think I’m on the right track. My eyes told me my colors were just much too much… I’m thinking if I toned them down I’d have loved it even more. For my 2nd attempt I’m awfully proud. Happy day to you too my friend ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for taking us on this amazing journey. Ups and downs, you turned my frown upside down lol This turned out so beautiful, I never had a doubt Thanks for the inspiration and another beautiful Sunday morning coffee time. ❤❤❤❤
Love this! Love your tutorials! You know why? Because you and your tutorials are real! You show your mistakes and you change your mind and you show all that. Just like me 😂. I cannot wait to paint your beautiful sunflower! 🌻
I love this, the whole process was great to watch & yes the gold outlines of the petals was definitely a “golden” move YIIEEEEEEEW You wanna know the funny thing, literally last week I done a combined fluid art & dot art sunflower 🌻 & I’ve been mucking around on my iPad on a design that I could do a full dotted sunflower. Watching you make this sunflower has inspired me even more to do it even more, YOU ROCK 🤘🌻🤘
Awesome and Thank you ♥️ I’d love to see what you came up with… I love fluid art and pouring.. I just never could get past the mess. 😂😂😂 I might be a little lazy eh? Lol.
I can totally relate. I know my art would be even better if I’d just slow it down and be more patient. I think the art is trying to teach us something 😂 thank you so much for watching and commenting… it means a lot 🤗☕️♥️
I think less is better but you also need enough to spread. It’s different than brush painting. You could do several coats I suppose? It’s all personal preference. With lighter colors this thickness is a gamble because it can crack. Dotting is a different beast when it comes to thickness. Some folks go even thicker and even more layers because texture is a bonus to a lot of us. 🤗♥️. If you want thin.. you could thin the paint and just make coats 😉 I bet that would be amazing 😻
