thanks for the review. i'm planning to get polarized but was looking for feedback on whether or not you see noticeable beneficial difference in using these vs non-polarized. I'm a bit concerned it may keep you from reading electronics signs on the road.
Their high end stuff is made in Japan by a third party company. For their other sunglasses the components are all made in China, then shipped to Italy where they are assembled and branded. Since this is where the majority of the value is added, they are allowed to say "made in Italy"
@xXric0hXx That seems like a great deal, if its genuine. The cheapest I have been able to find Velocity polarized is just under $200. Yes there are replica Serengetis in the market and plenty of them, you can usually them apart if you look carefully enough. The etching on the temples is not as sharp as the original. Also look for the genuine S logo etc..
@jerryison2003 Yes there's a considerable difference between polarized and non-polarized. The polarized ones definitely offer a sharper view by cutting down the glare. As for the electronic signs, i have never had a problem wearing these. Actually I have used ATM machines with my glasses on and havent had an issue, I didn't see any oil spills that people speak of. For me personally, polarized is the way to go, unless one is an aviator. I hope this helps.
