He hugs and greets Indian film director-producer, Ramesh Sippy and his wife Kiran Juneja Sippy. Dutt Saab then introduces them to his friends. Raj Babbar can be seen chatting with his friends and Dutt Saab. Sanjay Dutt and wife Rhea Pillai Dutt walks in and greets Sunil Dutt before they pose for the paparazzi. Sunil Dutt jokes about his son saying "All these artists are latecomers as you know it is already 8.30 PM."

Sunil Dutt says "From us, from our own blood making new waves in different parts of the world. We have with us his excellency's general Doe Betsson and also all the members of the consulate who are here. I would like to say that it is our privilege that we are gathered here to honour a son of the soil of India. O say this because I also come from a village as he does and a villager living in a small village playing with mud and dust of India. When this man goes to one of the most advanced countries and becomes premier of one of the most important states of Canada, it is the greatest pride for India. I have known him for many years through Nandita Memorial Foundation."
Vilasrao Deshmukh and Shatrughan Sinha are then welcomed on stage to present a life-size garland to the guest of honour.
